  Came back into town after not being in Gainesville for almost 6 years. Stopped into this pawn shop not once, but TWICE over a 2-day period. Excellent collection of military rifles and items. Several hidden gems and things I have been looking for. Not only are the staff helpful, the other members of staff are a phone call away for info on prices and items. Both times I stopped in I found military rifle stocks I am wanting for projects at not just good, but excellent prices. I made sure to grab their card because once I leave the state, I will most likely be doing remote business with them in the future. The “Not For Sale” rifles and pistols are mouth-watering, but for a small shop it is amazing to see certain items I have never been able to view in person. Keep up the great work folks! 👍🏼

  Stopped in a not wanting to purchase a fire arm the persons behind the counter where showing all their fire arms i ended up purchasing a great gun at a good price. I do recommend them

  I have enjoyed going there until today. One employee there he was aggressive towards me a few days ago and a brushed it off, today again he was overly aggressive and I said something about it and his excuse was “he in a hurry at 10:30 am and your establishment just opened at 10:00, the other guy that was there very nice guy which I had mentioned that he is whenever I buy there had nothing to say in the matter. If a person can’t identify bad conduct in there establishment which clearly he was there to witness there no reason for people to shop there.

  Hello Garrett. I am not sure what gun you are referring to. We do have some that are not for sale, but the others do not stay long in our cases. You are always welcome to come back and have a discussion about our prices and deals. We are happy to take reasonable offers on any item. Please keep in mind, we are a small family business and can not compare to Buds guns or large stores with 1000s of the same item. We carry items that are hard to find, or down right rare (and tons of ammo). Hope to see you again!

  I have bought and sold several guns through Gainesville Pawn and have always been satisfied with the deals I've made. I like the ability to special order guns with them as well. The last one was a purchase for my wife's Valentine's Day gift. Will continue to trade here because of the rare guns they've been able to source for my collection of vintage Colt revolvers. I rated them 4 stars only because I never rate anything a 5. There's always room for improvement the way I see things. Recommend.

  If you like beat up guns at ridiculous prices, this is the store for you. I don't think the owner has access to the internet. If he did he would see that his prices are insane. Even more than Gunbroker's sky high prices. Bit of advice, if he ever OFFERS to go through his "personal collection" to find you a gun DONT DO IT! In his crazy version of reality, you are now OBLIGATED to purchase the gun. In his mind it doesn't matter that he is asking 30% more than its worth. Not worth dealing with. Will not return. Wish I could give zero stars.

Anything from a personal collection will come with a price tag based on the owner's opinion and original cost. It may be different than your view or the current market since it is a personal item and not actually a retail item it would not be priced for retail.   Nice folks best price in town for transfers. Have had my tranfers logged and ready just a few minutes after they were delivered. They have done a transfer a few minutes before closing time for me, granted i asked before i stopped by to ask if they could do it. Will combine call in fee for a single pick up on multiple transfers saving you even more cash on the already lowest transfer price in town thats an honest business practice that isnt always followed. They even offered to hold a gun for a few days to wait for another to arrive to save me a trip and another call in fee. They arent making a lot of money on transfers so if you need someone to hold your hand and walk with you through the process of an online firearm purchase while giving you snacks, free coffee, phone calls and emails to keep you updated at every turn you may not be super happy. But if you aren't needy and pretty laid back they are great and you will save a bunch on transfers.
