After LOTS and LOTS of shopping and comparison, my wife and I finally decided to take out our mortgage through Fremont Bank. First of all the customer service was just phenomenal. This being our first home, they were totally willing to hold our hand through the entire process and explains everything in a way we could understand. I also really appreciated how understanding they were when we told them we wanted to shop around before locking into anything with them. They encouraged us to do our due diligence which is such a morally sound business practice. I 100% recommend the folks at Fremont.

Terrible Bank. The people in this branch office are nice enough, although plan to spend some time there because they're not quick. Fremont Bank in general is awful. Online services are not good and often down. Bill pay is slow and unreliable. It can take 2 weeks from the time you request the bill to be paid to the time you should expect the actual payment to be received. Don't use it for anything important like a mortgage. Their business model appears to be around charging fees. I was charged $40 for an overdraft on a transfer I did with someone on the phone, who gave me my balance (minus a pending bill pay transaction) - when the bill pay cleared my account was overdrawn. I made a big fuss and eventually got to someone who sounded like he would help, and ultimately stopped returning my calls. I gave up, Fremont Bank got their $40 fee and this review to boot. We've had many problems with them - consider yourself warned and steer clear.

Wanted to open a 2nd business account and tried to do it here only for them to tell me I'm in check systems knowing I'm not. I literally walked across the street and opened 3 accounts with a different bank. These people don't even know how to use the systems properly. I would highly suggest a different bank.

I got the best mortgage interest rate from Fremont Bank plus there was no cost to refinance. I actually refinanced three times with them each time they lowered the rate since it was free to apply. Now I have a 2.99% down from our original 12+% in 1999! Fremont Bank also supports the community including our soup kitchen, Martha's Kitchen.

It is the worst terrible experience I have. I am here at the bank and It was a nightmare experience. The manager, Ken Ng is not even helpful at all. The lead teller Puja Jani, is not even accomodating.

They keep on advertising they have the lowest mortgage rates in town, but requires an application fee. My friends have been turned down after paying the $350 or something application fee. What they do is that they keep on advertising, haul in as much application fees that they can get into but then turning down the applicants so that they could make more money from the application fees. Good business for them.

The staff here are not very friendly at all. I usually go to the other Fremont Banks and they have better customer service
