  I did not know what to expect walking into a store of used items; I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in for a break from my Christmas shopping. It was nice to be greeted by the gentleman behind the counter who also pointed out a few helpful options. I will definitely stop back in another time. You never know what cool stuff you may find

  The guy who helped me today was really nice and even thou I had a busted computer screen he gave me a break and gave me the amount that i asked for. I really appreciate his generosity and hospitality. First time I did business with them. Thank you!

  Recently purchased some scuba equipment from Frederick Jewelery & Loan. I don't deal with pawn's shop often, however when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of the staff. The item I purchased was in great condition. I got it home to test and make sure it worked. I noticed a few differences that indicated this was a slightly different version than I thought and we based our pricing off of the higher trim level. I contacted them the next day to let them know what I had found. Again, very polite and understanding. I stopped back in a few days later and we adjusted the price based on my findings and they credited me money back. They didn't have to do this. Really I should have noticed this at the time of purchase and negotiated the trim difference up front. However, they did and I appreciate it. I can't say enough about their honesty and willingness to make things right. I would happily do business again with Frederick Jewelry & Loan. Side note, while browsing around I noticed they have a stellar collection of Tools and Guitars!

  Mr Peter always takes care of me. He always looks at my history and asks me what I need and because I come back he helps me as much as he can. Most definetly the best pawn shop in frederick. I may have to stop in today. My wallet was stolen and all. Y cards were zerod and they cant fix it til tommorow or Monday. Thanks for being the best.

  Patrick, Ian and Peter are a great trio at this family oriented location. They are always courteous and professional they offer a vast array of knowledge based on their individualized areas of expertise. It is heartwarming to see a family operated establishment in today's environment..

  Every time I went into this place the owner would overshadow the salesperson that was helping me by cutting in on my deal that was previously offered. He then wanted to charge me more than what the salesperson and I had previously agreed upon. This happened on both of my visits. The owner always seems to have an attitude and if you come in there with high knowledge under your belt on what you want to purchase he will try to belittle you and basically tell you that you don't know what your talking about. One day he had a pinball machine on the sales floor that I was interested in and was ready to buy it cash money. I started looking at it and he yells at me not to touch it. I then ask is it for sale, he growls, NO!! At that point I just walked out and that should have been my first and last visit. If you have something on your sales floor that's not for sale shouldn't it NOT be on the floor and in the back instead? Common sense. Fast forward to my visit today and I see an item I want. I look at it and its severely broken in a few places leaving it to cost more to fix than it's asking price, it was already overpriced in the first place. I make an offer and he counter offers for $50 less than the asking price which was still to much for what it was. He then looks at me asks "you wanna know why? Cause allot of guys want these" I think to myself, yeah that's why it's been sitting in here for over a month unsold. I said no thanks and walked out for the last time. This place is always empty with no cars in the lot and now I realize why that is. Do yourself a favor and go to one of the Famous Pawn locations or Coles downtown, they will treat you the way a customer is supposed to be treated. With respect and great customer service.

  I've gone to this store many times. They're honest and fair. Excellent quality electronics. Constantly new stock coming in. Ive purchased multiple tools, jewelry and electronics. 10/10 would recommend. They have even taken a return for a tool that was malfunctioning.

  I would stay away from it. I buy things from a number of different pawn stores. This is the only one I have ever been in that does not Mark the price of what they're selling. If you want to buy something then look it up on the computer (ebay I saw it) and give you whatever price the feel like. I talked to 3 different people in 3 days about the same item and got three different prices all over the place. And I was told stuff that was on the sales floor was waiting to come out of pawn.

  Typical pawn shop, offers pennies on the dollar, yet used items on their shelves are priced higher than if you purchased it new. I do not recommend! Rip off! Give your stuff to a friend instead of being ripped off.
