  This shop has been a staple in the community since I was a little girl. Sticker prices are fair and they run specials! Haven't had to sell anything thing but we send customers there that need the service, knowing FPS can help them out in a pinch.

  Purchased an Xbox one at this store. There was an issue with the card machine and I had to swipe it twice. A few days later, upon checking my bank statement, I noticed I was charged twice. I called the store and the lady that works there was so nice and understanding. She checked her records and within minutes the problem was taken care of. They have proven to be honest people and will have my business in the future.

  Went in today to possibly barter/trade a heavy sterling necklace, which on Etsy is selling for $120, the ring I wanted was $44. I had no use for the necklace but definitely wanted the ring. So I had a few silver pieces. Two heavy necklaces, a small snake chain, and two substantial brooches, all sterling. It was easily 200 grams of sterling if not more. The only deal he’d give me, is if I gave him everything. All of the sterling including paying 20 for the ring. So I declined, feeling somewhat insulted, so instead just paid for the ring, which he did give me a whole $4 off. So I buy the ring and get into my car and see outside that it’s broken on the shank. So I go back in to see if he can fix it for me. The only option he gave me was to refund me my money and return the ring, which I did not want to do. I love the ring, I just simply wanted him to fix it or refund me half of my money so I could have it fixed since he wouldn’t/couldn’t. Couldn’t even recommend to someone to fix it. So I wasn’t happy with the experience. I won’t be going back or recommending this shop to anyone soon if ever.

  I’d have to say, very rude employees. I was asking about ammunition and I asked about how much was in the 50 box count of 9mm and he said all of it. Then I opened the box and only 35 was in there... felt sketchy.. I then asked about if he could lower the price and he compared it to the online price. Said it was more expensive but I was like that’s for a box of 50 not 35 and sat there like I should pay the full price for it. He said so??? Expecting me to pay full price for 35 count box of 9mm. Felt disrespected and unappreciated. Won’t come back and don’t go.

  Had to sell two 1974 Shwinn bicycles both in great shape. The price for those online was over 400 a piece... The jackass wouldn't go higher than 25 dollars for both and said it was because the pedals weren't original. Only to find out later that they were and he was just trying to rip me off. They do have a lot of old stuff but the prices are the same as the were 20 years ago so expect to pay quite a lot for something people have to give away nowadays

  Chuck bought a go cart from me and I was wanting a good digital camera He had a Kodak easy share for only $25.00 it was perfect looked brand new! plus I had some accessories already and they worked with that model of camera I would recommend this pawn shop to anyone that wants to get the best deal and quality merchandise awesome service great people I will not go to any other pawn shop ever again except FPS they are hand's down the best in Hickory,NC

  the place is a jungle of odds and ends. getting the shop is like going through a maze. if you are on the hunt for something chances are they have it here. Prices are the same or less you would expect from a pawn shop. a good place to look for guns and gun accessories, weapons etc, ive seen some good deals in that department. the staff can be grumpy at first but are generally more friendly and easier to talk with than any pawn shop in the area. Not a world class pawn shop but easily my favorite in catawba county.

  They are rip offs. When you try to sell something they give you almost nothing for it even if it's in good shape and or has been upgraded! Not only that but they sell things either the same price or higher than retail.
