  I have banked with Founders for at about 7 years now. I cannot tell you how much they have changed my life. Personal Loans, refinanced my house, credit cards and the loyalty program. My daughter is currently building her credit and at a super low interest rate. Every persona l banker I have ever worked with feels like family. They know me and my name!!!

  Love Founders have never had an issue, however me and my fiancé went to refinance her vehicle and I wasn’t very appreciative of John Mays attitude, nor has he been very helpful throughout the process. Or nice either. It’s almost as if he doesn’t want to help. Today my fiancé emailed him and asked him if there was a way to check the status of a check all he said was no. So I told her to call the founders help line low and behold she was immediately helped and taken care of.

  Racial profiling! I’m not going to try to withdraw anything from an account if it isn’t mine, first off. You have my picture on the screen when you pull my account and you also have my social. I gave my social but was still being asked weird questions that I’ve never been asked before, “where did this deposit come from?” Like what?! & YES, I’m pulling the race card bc I know for a fact this only happened bc of my race! DO BETTER FOUNDERS!!!!!!!!!!! & then as I drive off, this lady watches me & gives me an EVIL stare. SMH. will definitely take my service elsewhere.

  I opened an account with founders at one point and put a couple hundred dollars in the account. I really didn't need to use the account and really forgot about it for 12 months. I received a statement the other day and apparently they charge you $25 dormant fee for not using the account. They charged evert month until I had $0 in the account. This is probably the worst bank I have ever dealt with and would never recommend them to anyone. They never even gave me a notification telling me that I needed to use the account or I would be charged a fee. Worst bank in the world!!!!!!!!!

  Every time I go this bank I have issues making DEPOSITS...NOT WITHDRAWALS BUT DEPOSITS!! Always have more than enough money to cover them in any of my 4 accounts. I literally was just turned away trying to make a deposit because the check was a starter check from my own new business that we are waiting for our checks to come in. I will be returning to close all my accounts and put my money into my other credit union that actually appreciates my business!

  My husband and I have pulled our money out of the mega banks and placed it in the care of the Founders Federal Credit Union in Indian Land. We love the fact that Founders does not nickel and dime us with fees. We have enjoyed the higher rates we earn on their Loyalty CDs and our money market checking account. This morning we spoke to Brian who helped us put our money where it will earn the most interest. He took the time to discuss the New Loyalty Select account and the Amp Up program. Brian was very pleasant to work with! All of the staff is very efficient and friendly! We love banking with Foinders!

  Wish I would have done a little more research before trying to get a checking account here this is the third time I waisted my time coming here And I’m definitely not doing a credit check just to get a checking account when I can go anywhere else and get one without it. Now it’s a year later and I’m just finding out from a different representative that I could’ve opened a savings secured loan account to do what I wanted to do but he never told me about that particular service All I had to do was put the money in my account asked for a savings secured loan and pay it back simple as that.

  I have been extremely fortunate to have received nothing but exceptional customer service from each and every individual our family has come in contact with! We have banked with Founders since I was 18 and have been assisted over and over from the purchase of houses and cars to personal loans. Nothing but rave reviews from our family!   Have had 3 accounts here since many years. Over $100,000.00 in deposits. Went in here yesterday with my wife to deposit another 150k. Placed my ID and she pulled up my account. I asked this teller what were they offering interest on money market. She handed me and my wife a photo copied page with different accounts and interest rate offered. We saw .8% for money market. We asked if there were other accounts that would give us better interest rate. She said we could talk with an officer. Seeing there were other people waiting, we left. Today I went in. Got in front of the same teller that we had yesterday.Told the teller that I would like to deposit my check. She saw my wife had already signed it. She remembered me from yesterday. She said I’ll have to wait for the Manager to sign. Another staff member saw me just waiting, said we are short staffed but the manager will be coming in soon. She went to buy lunch for the employees.18/20 minutes later the mgr strolls in. She was explained what I was waiting on. She asked the employee how long has he been banking here... employee says “many years” manager asked “how much money I have in my account” employee says “Over 109k. money market + checking account. She now looks at me, said let me “sign in”. So she goes to the drive thru window and relieves an employee. 7/8 minutes later she said for me to “step up” and asked to see the check again. Said she needs my wife to come in with her ID. I called my wife who is an executive in a local bank. She said that I can send them my ID and they can call her bank and ask for her. Mgr. refused to do either. In the mean time my wife texted me her ID. I showed her the ID. Mgr. just shook her head. Frustrated and since she treated me like I was some one lower then her. In spite of the fact that I was a long time member here, hold 850 score on my credit reports, have zero checks bounce weather deposited or issued.l had to say ok then, in this case I’d like to close my accounts. She pointed me to the teller and gestured with a head to go to her. The teller saw that and shook her head. The teller compiled all my 3 accounts onto one check. I took my money and deposited with their competition. Got almost twice the interest rate and got excellent, respectful and very efficient service. The new place mgr. calls me after an hour and thanks me for choosing her financial institute and for allowing her to open my accounts.
