Fortera Credit Union Reviews

Kevin Gomez1This Credit Union has made my life a nightmare. I lost my job during the pandemic as many others. They sent my account to different debt collectors. They won’t work with me to pay them back directly, now that I’m back on my feet. They sent me to places that are charging me over 30% interest and fees. I’m on a payment plan that will never get me out debt. I call and no will give me what I owe or allow me pay the original debt that was owed. They rather have me drown in more debt and not be responsible. This is disgusting and I hope this helps others understand who you are entrusting with your money, loans, and finances.

Danielle Holbrook2Have had Fortera for a few years now. I wish they had updated ATMs where I can deposit cash so I could have more self service options since going through the drive-through seems to be a hassle for the employees. Most of the time the customer service is good however today I went to the Madison Street location and the teller was completely rude for no reason. I don’t remember her name but her tell her number was 0117 according to my receipt.

Jeff Channell1My son's account was hacked from Resource Federal Credit Union located in Jackson, Tn. Three withdraws and transfer's were made and now my son is out well over $1,000.00 between his checking and now his savings account due to fraud. When he called Fortera, the only service he was prompt to use is to cancel his debit card. He did this and was able to transfer the remaining funds from his account to my wife's account before another day could go by before these thugs could do more damage to his accounts. My son never received an alert on Saturday, however, he did received one today, Sunday and thought this was odd. At first he though it was a flute but turn out something was extremely wrong once he went into his account. He could see the transfers and pulls are pending but not able to freeze them. It is disturbing that someone [a thief] from another Credit Union in another town miles away has been able to do all this without my son's knowledge. I feel we should have been able to freeze this accounts. How did they get his PIN number in order to do all of this. As his parents we are encouraging him to not have a DEBIT Card anymore. He is to only use his personal credit card. He can go by the bank if he needs cash. Its not worth the hassle that one needs to go through in order to protect what you have work so hard for. It is these thugs that are coming into our communities, on-line banking and etc. and taking whatever isn't there's. This proved to us today; that our accounts are vulnerable and these individuals are able to take whatever funds at any time. So I employee you to check your accounts daily and change your passwords monthly, so you will not be a victim as my son was. I do hope that he will be able to get this resolved at the Fortera Credit Union Main Branch, Clarksville Tn when it opens on Monday. He has been a victim in the past but this is the first time, he has been a victim of funds being transfer from savings to checking and then withdrawals being made right after that. I feel Fortera should have a 800 number in cases like this. So one could freeze these accounts until an investigation is done. As for us as his parents we have never been a victim. But who knows, it could be any member of the credit union.

Emily Mackie1Horrible branch. Came in on a Friday at around noon and they only had one teller helping people. There were others walking around acting like they were doing something not helping any of us in line. You know some people need to go to the bank on their lunch break and don't have all day to be waited on. We came to get a joint bank account and was asked to be seated and everyone who came in after us was helped. Also, the ATM machine outside (which is no where near the bank) is the worst ATM I have ever seen. We have several accounts including loans and this branch is closest to my husband's work. I hope it gets better!

james chandler1Since switching from ft. Campbell credit union to fortera, this place has turned to garbage. I’ve had my account with you all for 11 years and I’m gladly switching. Your phone support sucks, wait 45 min on hold to be told to call someone else about bill pay, even though the prompts got me to that person FOR BILL PAY. Your mobile application sucks because you rushed it, your new website is horrible to find anything. I suggest if you have to do any kind of bill pay with this company just create 2 accounts on Venmo and you’ll get your money faster.

Brad1Been with Fortera/Ft Campbell Credit Union for over 8yrs. If you need a Mortgage, Equity loan or Line if Credit I would suggest a different bank. I have never seen communication to the borrower this bad ever. If you need anything , a status on your loan, a closing date, basically any information that pertains to your loan expect ZERO comms!! You will have to pick up the phone up and force yourself to keep your emotions under control to get the info you need. Awfull service!!! Navy Federal here we come!!

Stephanie Bates5I needed to cash a check on a Saturday and was told that I would have to go to the Dover Road area by a friend and was in a bit of a hurry. When I pulled up locations on my Map App I was so happy to see there was one on Madison Street and it was 3 miles vs 15! The young lady that helped me, Elizabeth was super friendly, professional, and so helpful as was another young lady Michelle who remembered me from the Spring St. Location were I usually go on weekdays! It was very refreshing for me to be treated kind and courteous! I highly recommend this location as well Spring St. These ladies made my day! They are what outstanding customer service is and that is something that you don't see as much anymore. I will definitely go to those locations again!

Mark Stebbins4I have nothing but positive experiences with the staff. The ATM however has been a source of frustration as it often doesn't work even when available and has had issues even after being taken down for repairs.
