fnbo is the BEST bank I have worked with ever. In fact it is the first bank I opened an account with back in 1978 in Fergus Falls, MN . But after I left MN to other states I have lived in, I did not see any branch until 2016 as I was on Preston Road when I saw the green and white logo and the words First National Bank 😊it was like I had won the lottery. And when I went inside and it was confirmed that it's the same family owned bank as it was back in 1978, there was a sigh of relief that I didn't have to work with the big banks and all the fees etc...No more. OSCAR is a great manager, he listens and he cares. He gets behind the counter and helps you with anything that you need just as one of the great tellers he has at this location. This bank has been around for 180 years, and I promise that I will not be going to no other bank. These guys at this location treat you as family and greet you as you open the door. Great job Oscar and the rest of the good people working at this location.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Have a credit card that’s started at 12k and after few months they lowered to my balance. Then I paid a bunch down and they lowered my limit to my balance again. Complete credit score manipulation. Got no where with the customer service rep.

      Response from the owner

This used to be a good place with polite people. That has changed. Oscar in this branch who I believe is the manager was extremely rude and insulting. He wouldn’t answer any questions I had. I wanted to know the limit for cash withdrawal and he suggested I closed the account tomorrow and that he would mail me the check. Claiming that I am withdrawing for no reason. I feel extremely insecure with this bank now. I also have a safe box with them and he said he just needed the id of the person whom I wanted to add. I mean no signatures or person required to be there? Oscar was just being a pain. Very absurd and unprofessional. They will loose customers because of him/her.

I have to say, Oscar is extremely condescending, and I agree with the last review. They are a decent enough bank but they don't care about business or value the client, which is an expectation of a smaller local bank. I've had good dealings with the Plano branch, but Frisco has been a nightmare. Going to close out all my accounts soon... Too many other good banks out there that are fighting for business.

      Response from the owner

Jesse, we're sorry to hear about any inconvenience you may have experienced. Customer service is very important to us and we appreciate you taking time to voice your concerns. We will make sure to pass this feedback on.

I’ve been a customer for almost twenty years. I moved states and never switched bank. Always curious, professional and helpful. I love going there. The staff takes the time to greet me and call me by name. I don’t feel like an account number holder. I feel that this bank has been a part of my family for 19 years.

      Response from the owner

Thanks, Ahab! We appreciate the five star review and you for taking the time to leave it.

After reading all of the nightmarish stories about the PPP loan and the big banks, I can't say enough good things about FNBO's handling of my loan. Their prompt processing and funding has given my company a fighting chance for survival and I thank them for their efforts. My approval came through on the Saturday before funding ran out. It takes a special bank that works through the weekend to fund a small loan that didn't mean a lot of money to their bottom line, but meant the world to mine.

      Response from the owner

Thank you for the five star review, Jason. We appreciate your business and loyalty!

I've been with bank since 2004. I can't begin to tell you how much they have helped me grow my business. It's rare these days to be able to build a relationship with a bank where they know you and care about what you're doing.

Be careful, when you swim with the sharks you will get bit! Used to have a credit card with FNBO, fell behind, they turned it over to collections, I agreed to their payment plan and then they filed suit against me in the middle of the pandemic shutdown. Thanks FNBO
