First Tech Federal Credit Union Reviews

Zheng Li1The bank charged me $5 monthly inactivity fee without any written notice or email notice. The representative refused to refund the fee for the inactivity, instead, the representative tried to sell me more product such as the benefits checking account and asked me to put more money into the bank to avoid the inactivity fee instead of fixing their notification system or provide better support.
Response from the ownerHi Zheng, I’m sorry to hear about your experience. I would be happy to look into this for you. Please send us an email at [email protected] your contact info so we can review your accounts and follow up with you. Thank you!

Steve Schwartz5New branch of credit union for 2018. Low traffic, nice friendly teller waiting to service customers. Better than driving to Redmond or Bellevue.

Jennifer Coomes1Update: I've been back in this branch a few times, and I've received good customer service, but I can tell with some that it is still forced or passive aggressive. I am thankful for those who are genuine but I get the sense that there is some immaturity still here that kind of goes with the mentality of an ego culture. Thank you to those who truly make an effort to get it right, to treat the customer right, and make a apology when warranted. I don't know if I will keep my business at this bank, but I definitely appreciate those who treat a customer right even if you don't work at a tech company. Most of all, I appreciate those who don't discriminate. Mostly, I focus on the services I need at this bank that fit my business and personal needs but any time the customer service is on par, it makes a difference. ***** I switched to this bank because I wanted a branch that would be more convenient for business and personal banking services (and I wanted to stay local!). I began talking with the business banker who didn't seem to be very interested in finding out what I specifically needed for my business but was going through the motions. I was often in more of a wait time with her, and the business info she gave me to open up a business account wasn't entirely correct so I had to research what I needed on my own. When I came back in a third time to get things rolling, I was waiting again (which seems to make them uncomfortable if you sit and wait), so two of the male bankers started to get things started for me according to what I told them in an email. I thought things were back on track until I was given misinformation about obtaining a credit card (similar to the one of the my previous bank), which then created a series of bad misses on customer service. I talked with quite a few people at this branch and it seemed as if they were discriminating against single women or people who didn't come in with more than $20,000 to deposit in the bank. I could tell after this consistent stream of misses, misinformation, and essentially trying to blame the customer, that the problem was more on their side than mine. I went to another branch, took care of business with another banker and I was treated great, questions answered correctly with good advisement, and just overall good customer service in the entire branch. This particular branch has some distinct entitlement issues that don't run core with the community feel and the groundedness and experience needed to serve the Sammamish community. Either I was a target of really bad service, lecturing, or inexperience on their side, but it left me traveling well out of my way to get what needed to get done at this branch. I was more than a bit disturbed and I believe they need to be held accountable. I hope service improves here soon.

Adri Richards5had the wonderful pleasure of working with Duke Keltner of First Tech Credit. What an awesome buying experience!! I originally met Duke when he offered to come sit the open house at my townhouse. When it was time for me to buy a new house, I worked with Duke and First Tech. Not only because their competitive industry rates, but because of Duke and his relentless commitment to the customer. Duke, went above and beyond ensure I was able to close on a tight timeline. He was always available to answer any questions or concerns that I had in timely manner. Thank you for delivering a memorable moment to your customer. I highly recommend working with Duke Keltner and team for your home lending needs. Thank you, Adri Richards

Mahati5We recently closed a transaction with First Tech Federal Credit Union, Sammamish. Their process was very seamless and hassle free when compared to big banks. It wasn’t possible without the invaluable efforts of Jhuma Gupta, Lalitha Dhara and Frank Oteiza. I would surely recommend their services.
