First State Bank and Trust Reviews

Scott Germscheid5I had switched years ago from Wells Fargo when they made it too complicated to avoid fees ( Minimum purchase requirements and putting money into a savings account etc..) I've always gotten friendly and prompt service every time I've been in. Both of my vehicle loans are through this bank because of their fantastic rates. I wrote this review because honestly I've never incurred any fees at all and saw there was only one review and unless he didn't pay his bills I don't understand what fees he is referring to.
Response from the ownerThank you for your kind words Scott!

Rao Manda5I’ve been with First State Bank and Trust for over 7 years now. My family and I have experienced amazing customer service ever. Though we’ve moved far away from Stillwater, we cannot do without FSBT. They make us feel like a family and so caring, it’s impossible to even imagine life without all the wonderful staff at all of their branches. All our savings are vested with FSBT. We haven’t been charged any fees at all. Staff are extremely courteous and go out of their way to explore ways to help resolve customer concerns with great patience and detail. In my opinion other banks should take FSBT as an example and learn. Our other banking relationship is with Wells Fargo, TCF, Chase - honestly, a very sustained disappointing experience, with no urge for improvement. Thank you team First State Bank and Trust.
Response from the ownerThank you for the kind words Rao! We are glad to hear you've had nothing but amazing customer service. Thanks again!

Collin Knoff1Fees fees and more fees! ATM fees, paper document fees, minimum balance fees, international fees (not listed on their fee list!). What sort of bank requires a minimum balance on a child's account? (This has apparently been fixed but never should have been there in the first place) If the customer service were top notch I'd be forgiving, but I've been unimpressed all around. Also I called to have my online password reset and they didn't ask any identifying questions, just gave me a temporary password.
Response from the ownerHi Collin, Our savings accounts do not have a minimum balance for children under the age of 18. We apologize for your negative experience. We take pride in protecting our clients security at all times. Please call us at 651.430.8665 or 651.439.5195 if you have any questions.
