Extremely friendly fast service. The tellers were very focused on attending to all of my needs in a timely manner. I really enjoyed going to the branch on 19th because the staff there is extremely friendly always remembers my name knows my pet's name and pretty much knows what I need done before I get there and have to ask. It makes things very convenient especially when I'm on the go in a hurry.

      Response from the owner

Thank you, Otto. We appreciate the wonderful review! Our S. 19 team is happy to help and are very pleased to hear about the convenience of our branch!

First Security Bank is outdated, 2500 mobile deposit limit, 2500 transfer limit to another bank. Finding your account number if you don't have a check requires an email or call, even closing this account is brutal. They could mail me a check for the amount in my account but they can't just wire it to another bank. Stay away until they catch update their policies.

      Response from the owner

Hi Spencer - Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know how we can get better.

My debit card got stuck in an ATM machine. A tech was called to retrieve it, and a voice-mail was left to pick it up at the First Security Bank on 19th Ave. I went in and talked to a teller, whom took my ID to verify it was me that owned the card. She then spoke to 2 other ladies and one of them came back and told me "oh we shredded the card, because it wasnt a first security bank card". I was like are you serious? I just got a call to come to this bank to retrieve it and now you're saying you shredded it. I said alright, and the lady replied snarky "Well have a nice day". So now I'm without my debit card and have to wait 10 days for another to be mailed to me from my bank, because 3 ladies didn't know how to do their job.

Before I was pretty happy with this bank, the staffs were wonderful, everything was 'perfect' until I moved out of State, then the chaos began. Knowing that I was going to move out, I completed a change of address using their online banking. I did it after I left my old place and before I arrived in the new place. 3 days after I got to my new place I received a mail from the bank, asking me to fill out a change of address form and I also found out I had been charged for Statement Return Fee, as apparently even though I have requested mail forwarding service, any mails from the financial institutions are not being forwarded. Not wanting to do thing redundantly, I gave the bank a call , spoke to a male CS. Asked him whether my request online went through. He checked everything for me and stated that The Bank had received my request and is being processed. I asked again whether I needed to still mail the form, he said I didnt have to. Everything should be updated - he said. When I thought everything was fine, my Husband was having problem using his debit card. All possible zip codes we knew and tried to use didn't seem to work. So we checked our Statement online -I chose online statements as I really tired of all the fees imposed on us- only to find out, the Bank is still using our old address but with 'generic' zip code. Which means, our address has not been updated and it has been 2 weeks or so since I talked to the CS. I had to talk to 2 other CS to straighten this things out! Long story short : I learned that their online banking has nothing to do with their database. It's not a 'real online banking' like some credit cards companies have when you update your profile, it's actually is updated, it's just being sent to their 'updating' department. My request got 'missed' by whomever supposed to update it. And it is most likely the reason why after 2-3 times trying to update my phone number using their online banking, the system still showing my old one. Even after I talked to another CS to have it updated. (and it's still has my old number as I was writing this review- what a glitch!) Also when you have more than one person on the account, The Bank requires both signatures to have any changes. And that includes minor. One of my accounts didn't get updated because it has my Kindergarten son's name on it as primary. The funniest thing was when I requested them to send me a change of address form , the CS asked me 'You don't want to do through online banking?' Do the old school way when it comes to updating your information. Don't rely on their online banking.
