Please insert strings of applicable profanities and expletives every second or third word. Everything was going relatively smoothly considering this is my 7AM to 7,8, 9 PM work day time of year. Chronically fatigued and stressed but getting things done. Enter the unprovoked assault. Let's change the debit card for all our loyal customers to make it more convenient for us and likely either more profitable or less expensive using a third-party source. So, here I am, an hour into getting the card activated. I charge $125/hr for my time – I would like the time stolen from me to be paid for. I went to the bank in person to get it activated to avoid the almost assured pain/incompetence of online or over the phone – had to squish my Saturday to do that and put off things till I got back. But they use a third party so they can’t do that – out of their control! With a dinner a party that night I really needed it to go shopping so I sit in the parking lot trying to use the automated cues – “sorry we cannot process your request at this time.” Tried several times. The only way to get a real person is through a lost/stolen card option, after 20 plus minutes on hold – they assure me it is activated – the card reader in the stores tell me that is not true. My groceries are on my credit card – the ones that I had to have, the rest have to wait. Did someone get a star on their chart for this? I was close to spitting blood and lightning bolts because of someone\s clever idea. A zero was deserved – not an option. $200 should cover it by the time it is over – I hope. Otherwise, I was robbed of my life/time by my bank. No follow-up on the system – total ball drop – fumble. Not an option in my professional practice. Turns out that you have to use the phone number you have on file (from when we opened the account 30 yeas ago) to activate the card. A short sentence would have saved me a lot of time.

I also have been banking with FNB for over 5 years. Any question, issue, or need is handled with professionalism, good attitude, and on and on. Best bank ever, just try a mega bank and see how it goes

The online transfer experience I've had wasn't a pleasure at all. I intended to send money into my friend's Bank of America account. I thought it was a direct electronic transfer, however FNB sent it by a traditional check. They said it takes about 10 days until he receive the check, which then he has to go to the bank etc etc (which is too long!). I have to cancel it and they charged me $30.

I have been a customer of FNB for seven years. They continuously provide outstanding customer service. I worked with many branches across the metro and Ames; the 5th Street branch is my favorite. Thank you for everything you do!
