First Midwest Bank Reviews

Jordan Alexandra1Have had terrible experiences at this banking location. I am a baby sitter, and I am often payed with a check. However, my bank is far, and if I needed cash, this is the bank that the people who hired me are with. I can go in and cash it. Every time I have walked into this bank, I am basically treated as if I am not important at all. I’ve been there enough to know that I have to have my ID ready to give them to prove that I am the recipient of the check. The bank teller yesterday (an older man) barely said anything to me, told me he would be back, took my check, my ID and walked away to grab a paper which I could not see, he then proceeded to walk over to one of the other tellers and pulled her into a backroom. They talked for about 2 minutes and came out, and went over to the other tellers computer, they continued to whisper to each other and talk as if I wasn’t there. The teller then came to me, asked how I wanted my cash, after standing there for 10 minutes, and feeling really stupid, I said it didn’t matter. He put my ID in front of me, counted out the cash, and barely looked at me as I told him I hoped he had a good day. I had done absolutely nothing wrong and I was being treated like I didn’t exist. Whether it be because I don’t bank with them or not, it’s one thing to just try to get me on my way as quickly as they can because I’m not one of their bankers, but to be treated like garbage and ignored once I’m in the bank just trying to do the right thing for myself is unacceptable.

Jasiara Barnett5I had an issue with my account, I called the customer service number and ofcourse didn’t get the answer I was looking for. So I decided to call the branch manager just to avoid getting the run around. And Araceli was absolutely amazing and pleasant to talk to. She solved my problem real quick. Thank you Araceli!!

Sue Smith3I usually have a very pleasant experience and have been banking with FMBI for 30+ years, but don’t think I’ve been treated with such condescension and poor attitude by a personal banker, even got an eye roll. Maybe Alicia was having a bad day, but put a smile on and try and treat people a little nicer next time

Katie Koch2Having the ATM machine in the same lane as a drive up lane is absolutely ridiculous. I am always waiting on someone in front of me to finish their transaction. It makes no sense why they didn't keep the ATM in the end lane like the previous bank did.

Jason Rodriguez5I've always had a great experience at Standard Bank. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bank is merging with First Midwest Bank in Jan. 2017, so hopefully services remain the same or better!!
