Melonie Gibson5Very helpful when inquiring about anything related to banking here or your accounts! All staff is nice and I have been banking here for quite some time now and never had any issues! I like first horizon better than any other bank I've ever used in the past. They have longer hours on Fridays and do what is necessary to make your banking process as fast and easy as possible.

Karen Evans1I started banking here at the first horizon in Newport a year and a half ago. I always loved first Tennessee in dandridge, and since they are affiliated I was hoping for that same or at the very least be respectful to their customers,even Thier less fortunate customers, I myself have been treated with disrespect disrespect by several of their employees and Thier loan manager. I've even seen the looks glares and rudeness to other customers that aren't as preppy as they are. I have started banking at Newport Federal, and I m much happier for it

Heather Hayes1Unbeknownst to me, i am getting charged monthly for a statement because i dont get it online. Which would be no big deal, EXCEPT my online banking doesnt work. It never has. I have been there repeatedly to try to fix the issue. No luck. Also, you will NEVER get your phone call answered. It does not matter how many times you call, how slow it is there, or how many employeees are gathered in the corner gossiping. Its ridiculous. I am changing banks.

yvonne wiggins2Was able to get through to Branch Manager and asked if they could help me with something and noterized it for me. Explained I'm disabled and hard for me to get around. She said yes they would be glad to help me with it. Very nice lady and Miranda I was glad to hear was still there.

Cathy Hill3Since it's merger, the personality has left the bank. It used to feel like a true hometown bank. Not anymore. So many changes to checking and savings account plans. Charging more fees. Lots of rates went up. Worst merger this bank has gone through.

Ashley Conley1I wish I would have checked the reviews before wasting my time and going here. I went to cash a SSI check. The check is made out TO ME. It says it’s FOR my son but it is made out to ME. I was told by SSI I could cash the first check anywhere that had check cashing services. So I went to this bank. They told me I need “paperwork from the government” lol. That sounds very vague right? I asked them what kind of paperwork. It didn’t make sense to me. TWO DIFFERENT members of your staff told me I needed paperwork to prove I am custodial parent and Proceeded to ask me who gave me custody. I’m like...it’s MY son. Hence why the check is made out to me because he is FOUR YEARS OLD. It came from the government so why would I need paperwork from the government? Anyway long story short they were VERY wrong, misinformed and had no idea what they were talking about. I left there and cashed it at Walmart in minutes. I need to open an account for further SSI checks and I will ABSOLUTELY NOT be going there!

TNMyRuby1Trying to call local branch and the recording says closed or busy, call the 800 number and hangs up on you. Called the 800 number and they say you need to talk to the local branch. What???? kind of bank service is this???
