  We switched over to Alex Macklin from a different lender because we needed a team that was more responsive, has great advice, and better loan rates. My wife and I spoke with Alex and explained our needs and Alex was able to provide us with the perfect package to allow us to bid confidently on the right house. Alex is very knowledgeable and also ran the numbers for us each time we discussed our intended bid amount. I highly recommend Alex and his team as they are there to provide high quality assistance as you search for the right home. I should also note that the house closing process with Alex was very efficiency and quick - we were quite impressed!

  I worked with Alex Macklin and the Team at First Federal Bank. They have been great and answered all my questions, the customer service is amazing. We are excited that they approved us for a construction loan as we are starting to build our new home. Overall a great experience working with them.   The staff at First Federal in Angier are some of the friendliest, and customer centric people that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. If you’re looking for a bank that cares just as much about you, as they do your money. Also if your are planning to buying a house Alexander W. Macklin make the process so easily I highly recommend stopping by and opening up an account or get a loan with this incredible branch .

  I was referred to First Federal Mortgage by my realtor. He informed me that First Federal was the preferred lender for our builder. When I called to get some preliminary info to potentially start the process, Alex Macklin went over and above with his time and effort to explain and inform me of my options. Being my situation was slightly unconventional, he spent the necessary time I required to fully understand everything. This isn’t my first house or mortgage, and I don’t remember any previous lenders being as intentional with their service as they were at First Federal. I have already referred my co-worker and have no problem recommending them.

  Hello Google Review World, I normally don't submit reviews unless they are WELL deserved. With that being said this review is beyond deserved. Most are told to seek the big name banks for mortgage loans. However, we decided to seek a local privately owned and operated bank for our needs. We are so happy that we did because they make they're decisions in house. From the initial phone call everyone at First Federal Mortgage was professional and very helpful. They made the process short and stress free so I highly recommend them if you want to be treated with respect and of importance. Special thanks to Sean Cherry for his diligence and knowledge on the initial call. Then there's the bank's Senior VP Cathy Jernigan to whom we owe the warmest gratitude . She brings nearly 40 dedicated years of service to First Federal Mortgage and it shows. She held our hands from the very beginning and hasn't let them go as of yet :). She has proven to be a excellent leader and friend. Lastly but certainly not least a special thanks to Dana Hamilton (Cathy's assistant) for being so helpful and proficient. In closing, regardless to if you need a Heloc, small conventional mortgage loan or a large jumbo mortgage loan as we did....Cathy Jernigan and her team at First Federal Mortgage can make your dreams come true as well.
