  I belonged to a credit union that got bought out from First Capital Credit Union.. I have other banks and credit unions that I use so I didn’t keep much money in FCCU. I had $70.46 in my account just to keep it open if I decided to get a loan. The other day I received a letter in the mail giving my current balance $55.48, I was puzzled why I didn’t have $70.46, I read the statement and it said “withdraw dormant fee”, I never heard of a bank or C.U taking money from a customer. They take $5 a month if you don’t use them. I called the York branch and explained everything to a manager, she didn’t care about the money being taken out of my account. Needless to say I closed my account!! Don’t use this C.U.

  I agree with other consumers their policies and practices are outdated. I moved my children's accounts to online banking years ago and received awesome CD rates. I only had this account open because of my direct deposits that were already set up with them, but after a less than accommodating customer service experience, I'm out.

  Honestly feels like this Credit Union is from the 1920's. The mobile banking app is all but useless (unless you're just checking your balance basically), and quite frankly the online banking is not much better! Customer service is terrible, agents will claim to have called you, but never actually did. The "kasasa cash back" is great, unfortunately that is the only positive part of this Credit Union in my opinion. I'm disappointed I brought my business to this institution, and I regret the time that I stayed!

  They are the best bank I have ever been with! Yes I have had some issues with a single teller who is just a rude person. Also I wish they had more locations. But as a bank they are great! Their programs excellent, money exchange rates, help, and interest rates! I also really prefer the name as a history buff, most people forget York,PA was where we drafted the Articles of Confederation while Philadelphia was under English rule. Washington moved to protect York by posting at Valley Forge.

  If i could give a negative I would!! We moved to York Pa. from Denver in December, this is the bank that was recommended to us. When my checks came the address was wrong. So we waited to transfer all of our funds. About a month and a half ago we decided to just go with it. We used the app which isn't very good. we found out today that we are considered a new account for 6 months. So they put a 7 day hold on any check that isn't a payroll check or a government check. I wish we would have went with Wellsfargo instead of some backwards country bank!! Our bank in Denver was a credit union and we never had any of these issues. The app was awesome, never held a check etc! Live and Learn!!

  There are too many great reasons to go with a credit union like First Capital to even list here. The fact that they double the insured amount of your money compared to traditional banks, at their own expense, says what kind of credit union they are. Tara is also a great asset, and extremely knowledgeable!

  EXCELLENT customer service! I have been banking with them for almost 15 years, and they will always have my loyalty. From the great interest rates on my car loan to the way go above and beyond to make sure I understand everything, makes me very happy. Kasassa checking is awesome as well! Keep up the great work FCFCU, it's appreciated!

  Just joined cuz my employer is a member. Only been a week and already a bogus charge to my account. $10.00 fee for a returned piece of mail. Are they serious? What's next, a fee for living inside city limits? I thought credit unions are for the members, unlike banks. But I see this one is not! Members 1st here I come.

  I was a member of First Capital Federal Credit Union for thirteen years until they started to be like a typical bank. The Credit Union MANAGER WENDY SPANGLER came from York Federal and IS EXTREMELY RUDE.
