Gloria Feilen5This last visit gat I had at Findlay Buick was the most pleasant visit for an oil change that I have ever had. I have been taking my Buick there for oil changes for the last 15 years. They were friendly and courteous. It was done in less than an hour and they kept apologizing for it taking so long. And here's the kicker, they didn't try to sell me anything. Yahoo! No pressure. Juan Aguiar1This place is the worst place to purchase a vehicle! I bought a 2018 GMC about a year ago and have had nothing but trouble ever since. I have been lied to and yelled at on the phone and in person buy a number of staff members. We were part of what seems to be a scam. I bought the extended warranty being told we could cancel it at any time and at no cost if we cancelled within the first 30 days. The truck still had the original warranty since it is still newer, so we decided to cancel within a couple of days. I met with the former financial manager Mike Bennet and he assured me it was cancelled, but never gave me a copy of the cancellation. Two months passed and it still had not been cancelled so I called again and they told me that sometimes it takes a little longer to process and not to worry. Well we come to find out 6 months later it had not been canceled and we had been lied to. We talked to 4 different associates in person and over the phone over 3 months and were told they were handling it. We finally got it somewhat resolved after the manager yelled at me over the phone. We still have not been refunded the interest we unknowingly paid over the course of 8 months, flat out theft. Unfortunately I also had to take the truck in after someone backed in to it ,they repainted a section of the truck and failed to properly fix it they kept the vehicle for close to 2 months. I was told 1 week max. We then had to take the truck back to have them fix the work they did because they messed up the paint on the lower side of the replaced panel. During this time we were lied to once again and told we could use a rental car free of charge paid for by the insurance of the guy who hit me. A couple months passed and the insurance called me and told me that the dealership failed to provide the proper extension requests and so we would have to pay $500 out of pocket for the rental car. When I called to ask why, I was again yelled at on the phone. This time by the manager Corey Bray who claimed he had never spoken to me about the issue and it was his first time learning about it, even though he sat with me IN PERSON, and he told me they didn’t have to fix the problem and was threatened that if I called back they would not refund the money. I was going to leave good enough alone until I come to find out during the 1st year of owning the truck and taking it for regular oil changes they have been putting the wrong oil in the truck! The oil cap literally says which oil to use and they were still using the wrong oil! I have no idea how this place is in business and highly recommend finding a different dealership to purchase and service your vehicle. I absolutely love my new truck, but because of all the trouble I went through with this dealership, i wish I had bought it elsewhere. Absolutely DO NOT buy a car from these crooks.
Response from the ownerHi Juan! Thank you for your patience, we were unable to get to the bottom of what took so long to cancel your extended warranty. We apologize for the delay as the finance manager at that time is no longer employed here. According to our records, as soon as it was brought to the attention of our Finance Director he had the warranty canceled within a couple of days and you were refunded the full amount of $2,554. In regard to a refund for the interest you paid on your warranty totaling $50.99 we are more than willing to send a check of reimbursement. After the accident your vehicle was dropped off at our collision center at 4pm on December 26th and work on your truck began on December 27th. On January 2nd we received the incorrect part from the manufacturer and did not receive the correct part until January 15th because the part was then on back order from the manufacturer. A supplement request was submitted to the insurance company on January 22nd to authorize the full cost of repairs and we did not receive the supplement authorization until January 31 upon which the repairs were completed and the truck released back to you. When dealing with insurance companies and ordering parts, our collision center understands these repairs can take longer than expected and their policy is to refrain from quoting shortened turnaround times. In regard to the rental vehicle, the insurance company covered up to 20 days for repair unfortunately due to the setbacks with parts on back order and waiting on supplement authorization these 20 days were exceeded. Even though our rental agreements state that if a billing party defaults for any reason you are responsible for all charges, we stepped in and agreed to pay the $484.93 for the rental vehicle. In regard to your vehicle being serviced with the incorrect oil according to our service records your vehicle received SAE 5W-30 DEXOS2 which is the oil to be used to service that particular engine according to General Motors.
