  When using a credit, debit, or bank online you can run into some risks that your personal information or money could be stolen. That means a vast majority of people are exposed to this threat. I happened to be a victim of this data breach. But the reality is that banks cannot refuse a refund because, on the balance of probabilities, it feels there may have been fraud. It has to prove negligence or fraud, yet in many cases they are now turning down refunds where they have suspicion only. But, despite clear rules that state banks can only refuse to refund a customer if he or she has acted "fraudulently" or had been "grossly negligent", as I had played no part in the transactions through MoneyGram on my bank account. Internet transactions are really insecure. I was trying to be responsible, trying to take care of everything, Instead, I found myself in an even bigger hole. I was getting a loan to refinance my vehicle and a few moments later someone had went to money gram and added fake checks into my account I took every precaution to make sure this was listed. When I realized my account was inaccurate I reported the delinquencies, I spoke to Nepa in the greenbrook branch November 3 at 9:00 am when I had realized my account was compromised. Prior to calling the green brook branch I had contacted money gram immediately to cancel the form of payment that was set on my account, than took every step to insure the safety of my account. When speaking with Nepa she had explain that my account has been comprised and there was a duplicate card under my name that was able to access my funds and transfer money grams onto my mobile banking account. As I had my card on hand no one other than myself uses my debit card. Ms. Nepa as the expert, who specializes in resolving these issues assured me that my account will be resolved, as she helped address the problems I may have overlooked. Following up on November 9th at 2:00pm I contacted Mr. Clarke which he is located in the greenbrook branch reviewed my claim of fraud he declined my dispute. I filled a police report, I have appealed the decision which is why I am writing this letter. If the credit card company denies your fraud claim, you are entitled to ask for an explanation and to appeal the decision. Mr. Clarke did not have proper documentation substantiating my claim. I have the police report, evidence that I was not in the city or state where the charges occurred, and I will resubmit my claim to my credit card company. In my case where I did not authorize the charges, there should be more protection available for me and my assets.

  I've been a happy member for a while now, my husband just opened his account today thanks to Wanda and the branch's manager. Very good people who care about you as a person and help you build up your credit. Highly recommend. 🌹
