Kirk Herwig1They will nickel and dime you to death with fees. I paid off a $3500 balance on a home equity loan. Then they send me a bill for 0.02 for interest that had accrued during the billing cycle. I paid the .02, but then they send a bill for an additional .01 for interest, plus a $65 annual fee. Absolutely ridiculous.

Lina Lim2It took more than an hour to open a simple checking account, the banker was not trained on how to use their software. Now I keep getting issues with setting up basic online banking things. Choose a different bank

David V. Revay1Don’t ever get an auto loan or any loan through this scumbag establishment. Closing the loan out will be a nightmare and they will mislead you. If you over pay the loan, good luck getting that money back. Poor business practice from a poor quality of bank. I would rather pay a higher interest rate with another bank than deal with these people.

Mark Dulberg1Absolutely the worst Bank on the USA. They reversed a dispute with a convicted felon who did no work and delivered no products and screwed me out of $1200. Admitted their error and suggested I sue a man in Jail for fraud for the money I lost. Now they made an error and stopped auto debiting my bank to pay my account and have charged me late fees for 8 consecutive months because i was under 0.15 cents in July and they carried forward my “lateness” each month despite my paying MORE than my minimum each month on time. Rather than crediting the over payment the subsequent month to cover the .15 cents from the first month. I talked to 3 separate “Supervisors”. Ee see the issue. We can only refund 1 month maximum of your 8!!!!! Late fees.

Joe Schmoe1This place is horrible! I walked in there yesterday and some older white-haired guy didn't even look up from his place at the counter! The older black guy in the first office to the left of the entrance sat at his desk talking on the phone. Not one person greeted us or even acknowledged our existence in the branch. We were there to use the ATM and discuss mortgage rates because we're buying a condo in Ft. Lauderdale. I'll take my business anywhere else. There's literally a bank on every corner of Las Olas. Fifth Third is 166.7% worse than any of them.

William Davenport5I've been a Fifth Third Bank customer for over 20 years starting in Indiana. When I moved to Fort Lauderdale, I knew this was the only location in SE Florida. There's many more on the SW Florida coast in the Fort Myers area. However, I've had nothing but great customer service from the from the staff at this location. Friendly greeting and have helped me adjust to the area with my financial needs.

Denis Klad1i was at 53 bank brunch to close my checking acc. Manager said me that i need no action to be sure that my acc was closed. After that i got email that i have negative balance on my checking acc, and it is still open. Nobody wanted to help me with that problem.
