Fifth Third Bank & ATM Reviews
J
JoAnn Miller1We had been banking customers since 2012. Over the years we have been disappointed by one thing or another but never left a review. We recently moved, locally, and were ready to switch banks. On 12/23/2020 my husband went to the Hamburg branch to close out our accounts. We had a total of 4 accounts, 2 of which were opened with our son who was a minor at the time. I had given my husband a total $ amount of what was remaining in those 4 accounts. Shayla the Bank Teller only gave him the funds from 2 accounts and when my husband said this was less than we expected -- Shayla made a brief comment about her not seeing any other accounts associated with his name. Keep in mind he is the first name listed on our family account and everyday when I signed on to view our account, our log in reflected all 4 accounts. She made absolutely no attempt or effort at being any help at all. So I had to go back in to close out the remaining two accounts. Very aggrevating. I went in the same day and who do I get for a teller, but Shayla. (also know that I didn't know that is who my husband had spoken with earlier). I told her why I was there. One account was a Goal Setter Savings and the other a 360 debit card my son used to learn how to bank. There was a remaining balance of $7.16 left in the 360 account. She asked if we had the debit card and I told her we cut it up months ago because we had moved and my son now had his own banking accounts. She then tells me the only way we can get our $7.16 back is to use the card. Even though I had just told her we cut it up. So I asked if there was an address I could write to get that back or if the bank could write us a check. Her answer was for us to open ANOTHER account and then transfer the money to the goal setter savings. I said forget it, just keep the $7.16 and donate it. When she counted out the money for the Goal Setter savings, I put it in an envelope and we turned around to walk out. She didn't say thankyou, or any departing greeting at all. She was soooooo rude the entire time. Not helpful in the least and was just all around unpleasant to deal with. I got back in our car and told my husband what happened. He described what she looked like and said her name began with Sh..... I said yes that was her. That is why I am taking the time to write a review. Because she wasn't just rude to me, she was rude to my husband and I am sure she has been rude to countless other banking customers. Good Luck.

Jacqueline Kenyon1This bank is ridiculous! I know a successful business man who was trying to refinance his house, that has banked with this bank for 7 yrs and during his 7 yrs has been successful at keeping his accounts positive and has an impecable credit score. This bank because they are small, has given him the run around and has unjustly derailed his attempts to close on his house successfully. They gave him unrealistic advice and did not follow through with what was promised. Warning do not trust your business with this bank, they are all deceptive and their underwriters are a joke. Do not entrust your money, nor give this bank your service. WARNING!!! Do not do business with them, go somewhere else!!!
