  I came today to cash my check and to notarize a document. There were only 3 customers in the bank at this time. The teller was very nice and quick to cash my check. She also told me to give her my document so she can check with the banker who the only one was able to notarize my document. The banker fast looked at the document, and I was told that yes, she was able to help me. I signed my name on the list and waited and waited and waited. About 30 minutes has passed and I still was waiting. Another banker came to see the list and told me that I sill had to wait about 30 min longer to get my paper notarized. I asked if there was anyone else to help me, like manager. The answer was no. I was disappointed, but decided to wait. In a hour or more, I was finally called by the banker, who looked at my paper and said that she could not notarized it, it also required that the manager to be involved. My question to her was : then why when you looked to the document the first time you did not see it. She was very loud and defensive, saying, ma'am, ma'am. She did not even have a decency to apologize for her unprofessionalism and my loss of time. I could not even imagine, how such a person can be in the bank working with people I only give 2 stars, because of the sweet teller who went above and beyond to help me when I came to this branch. My recommendation to a manager to do more training with the banker, who has a power to notarize papers. She has to learn how to multitask and meet the needs of each customer respectfully.

  Came to cash a check n I was told I had to c a banker because I never cashed a check there b4. The 1 banker that was there already had a customer prior to me getting there. I waited 10 mins banker still not done with other customer. I just wanna cash a check that was issued by your bank. Needs better service for this issue. I shouldn't have to c a banker to cash a check that was issued by your bank!!!!!

  I went to fifth third today to transfer some funds and reset my card information. The lady at the desk was nice and took care of my fund transfer promptly. To change my debit card login and pin she directed me to a personal banker, his name was Mehmet Gulisik. I said hello, sat down at Mehmet's desk, and told him my needs when he asked. It took him a small handful of minutes to begin helping me, which I wouldn't have minded, because I had the time to wait and because I make an effort to be understanding towards customer service reps and bankers alike [since I understand their jobs can be difficult]. However I did quite mind, in the end, to some degree, because as soon as I confirmed my green age of 19 I was met with condescension and preaching about opening a line of credit. In keeping of fairness Mehmet's information (about opening a credit card, which I did not ask for) was clear and he addressed my request to change my card login information, for that I am appreciative. However the reason I leave this review is out of spite for my net experience when I myself was composed and polite, prior to, and in every phase of Mehmet's condescension. Mehmet did not even ask if I had stable employment before he proposed I open a credit card (which I definitely cannot pay for at the moment) and began his lecture on the importance of establishing credit. In sum, I leave a 2 star review of my experience and fifth third on 5241 W 63rd St (Chicago, IL 60638) [as opposed to a one star review] if only because the only redeemable factor in my visit was my timely and polite service from ladies behind the desk, and Mehmet's rude, but effective and prolonged address of my needs. My recommendation to anyone who visits this branch in the future is to be over the age of 25 (and perhaps well-financially established) in dealing with Mehmet, as he will probably inflict the same condescension I experienced today otherwise. If you are under the age of 25, see anybody else of the available personal bankers, because you will likely be treated more respectably and you will also not be treated to Mehmet's pushiness as he seeks to fulfill his quota of credit card openings. Sincerely, A dissatisfied fifth third customer.

  This location can get busy sometimes, being around Midway Airport. Even though when it's busy the staff do their best to keep things going. I disapprove rude remarks being said while I'm standing in line (Keep it to yourself, please). All in all, a great and friendly staff. Great customer service.

  If youre planning on withdrawing more then $5,000 cash from your account, you better take your business to the summit location, this guys dont have money, and will not give you more then $5,000 cash even if you have a business account. 1 star for wasting our time and limiting my business activities by establishing lame limitations

  Tellers are slow, take their time like other people don't have other things to do. That's why there's a drive thru for quick transactions forget it might as well of went inside.

  Painfully slow tellers at drive-thru in the morning 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ SLOW.SLOW.SLOW. Give these people some coffee to wake up, BEFORE the drive-thru opens!!!
