  Andrew, despite being based in Oregon didn't know how Oregon property tax works. There were several "issues" that Andrew would call me about and allude to trouble getting the loan. Many of these "issues" were easily dispelled with basic due diligence. Spend some time figuring out or understanding the problem before you come to the customer with it. Definitely don't call on a Friday afternoon and intimate that the loan won't go through and there will be no way of knowing until businesses open the next week. Only for the "problem" to be a non-issue caused by Evergreen staff not looking in-depth enough at the documents they have.

  Working with Andrew was a pleasure! He was a very clear communicator and took the time to make sure I understood the process of buying a home and all the details of the loan approval procedure. He also made sure we stayed on top of things and gave kind reminders.

  Evergreen and Jen Lee are amazing. My husband and I close on our home tomorrow. The company is tech-forward, made signing and getting paperwork together a breeze. Jen is extremely organized, communicative, and timely. Not to mention she is creative in finding options that work to support ones' budget. She kept us informed along the way, and as a detail-oriented person myself I appreciated that. She has been prompt every time we've needed to touch base over the phone. I would recommend working with Jen to everyone that I know that is looking to buy a home.

  Do not use evergreen as your lender! I got lied to day 1 about them matching competitors rates and buying down on points. I went through the entire process of getting a loan through them and no joke 4 days before closing he tacks on an extra $4,000 that I need to pay up front from "inaccurate guessing on buying down costs (he didn't actually do any math) and also evergreen won't match the interest rate like I was promised. Then I got bullied and was put into the bad guy position of holding up the sale because he lied to me to get my business. I plan on reporting to the BBB. DO NOT USE EVERGREEN. And for whatever reason you do, get everything in writing, not over the phone.

  Their promise to close on time no longer applies. Don't waste your time here.. Communication is not what it should be. You are better off going with someone else.
