  I just made a international wire transfer using elevations CU. Conversion to Euros. I've been with them since the early 90's. They told me the wire fee was $45 for each wire. It turns out there are HIDDEN FEES because Elevations does the wiring using another bank. Chase bank, which then tacks on 2% on the published exchange rate, which is a hugely significant amount of money. So elevations either apparently doesn't know this, or they didn't bother to tell me. It was me checking the transfer amount, doing the math and seeing a large discrepancy between what we had calculated in the bank using the published exchange rate, and the amount of money taken from my account. Had I been aware of these hidden fees I would have looked for alternative. The employees at elevations may or may not know about the hidden fees, but either way their published wiring fee lf $45 is a misrepresentation of the actual fees. Clearly a case of hidden fees that banks are notorious for. That cheerful and friendly service was hugely expensive. I'm be moving my money to banca monte dei paschi di Siena. Not by wire though.

  Elevations CU is an extremely annoying company that sends out junk mail designed to seem very important and urgent. I would avoid a shady company like this.

  I have to say my recent experience was such a headache. I have banked with elevations for years and I have always recommended them and had a good experience. Therefore, since I am buying my first home I decided to try and get a HOME LOAN through them. The loan officer I had was incredibly unprofessional, horrible at communicating and I was the one always trying to track him down?? He would say he would get back to me and I would not here nothing for days or an entire week? I dont know if this was discrimination due to my lower income relative to the "new" Boulder? I can not be sure. But, no other loan company I worked with was so unprofessional.I feel discriminated against. It was literally 3 weeks before it went to underwriting, due to my loan officers being slow and not communicating, I had to go to his manager after a few weeks. After about a week the manager then informed me that because my husband and I were out of work for a few months due to COVID they could not help us!? If that was the case they could have saved us a lot of time and energy from saying this from the beginning, they knew this the first day we worked with them. Very strange? COVID is a world wide pandemic and we stopped working in order to keep our community safe from the spreading. I just found it shocking that they took so long to inform us they couldn't help us when this could have been said much earlier, if in fact this is the real reason is due to us not working because of COVID. Strange thing is that my friend of the family is getting a loan from them and she was out of work for about 7 weeks and they are helping her... Recently I found out a family friend is refinancing through Elevations and they also have made her life hell. They promised her a particular rate and price and now that they are closing they are telling her a completely different price and rate. They just don't seem to be honest or communicative. I have to say I am shocked at this outcome because elevations has always been professional and helpful all these years. I would recommend banking with them, but do not get a loan with them as they dont seem to know what they are doing, are horrible communicators and really waste your time. I have other mortgage companies I am working with who have been friendly, helpful and do not take 3 weeks to give me an offer/approval. My experience with other companies has been much more professional and prompt. I also feel lied to by Elevations since they said they can't help me due to us being out of work for COVID, but then they turned around and helped my friend. Very strange. I dont know what the deal was there, DO NOT get a loan through these people. Who knows what would happen if you were closing on a new home, they could suddenly change there mind and you could be out your ernest money. Elevations would make me very nervous to get a loan through and I think those of you out there need to know my experience.

  Pretty unhappy with how they’ve handled the postponed pandemic payments. Considering this is my first pandemic, I don’t feel like I was given full information of what would occur once the payments restarted, and Cameron had the audacity to blame me for the interest rate I’m currently at - blaming impoverished people is not a good look, and I’m planning on leaving elevations as soon as possible for a bank who actually supports their community in a time of need.

  Just came down to do a deposit on a Saturday. Loved the chill but professional atmosphere, and the outdoors / wood decor struck me as very Boulder-ish

  Great place to bank - if you want your money held hostage and to be charged a fee for everything. I'm consistently impressed at how bad Elevations is. There's a fee for almost everything. Need a deposit? That's a fee. ACH transfer? Here's a fee (on both ends)! Want you close you account? Well, looks like you owe us a fee. I opened the account to try to get better rates on a car loan. Not only were the rates 1-3% higher than anywhere else, but I worked with two of the most ineffectual loan officers imaginable. One didn't know what a Certified Pre Owned car was. The loan officer trying to sell me an auto loan doesn't know CPO. I simply couldn't get ahold of the other officer. He never called me back. I tried calling, leaving voice mails, and eventually went with someone else. Honestly, I wonder how Elevations stays in business, and I think I have it figured out - they advertise pretty heavily to CU students, who simply don't know better. Then, they charge them fees, fees, and more fees to keep advertising as heavily as they do. Honestly, I'm looking forward to closing my account, but need to get up the courage to pay a fee to do so. Honestly, banking using the old 'under the mattress' technique will put you ahead vs. using these guys.

  I love this downtown Elevations branch. Staff have always been cheerful and friendly. And, I always recommend banking at a credit union and not one of those great big banks who have only their self interests at heart.

  Friendly and professional staff. I was helped by a nice woman named Val who was courteous, quick, and friendly. After the transaction, she offered me a chocolate and sent me on my way. It's so nice to deal with quality people in a safe and professional environment!
