Desiree Slaughter1I called to inquire about the process of getting an auto loan and 30 seconds into the conversation Dan (a relationship manager) tells me I probably won’t get it based on a credit report that was pulled 2 almost 3 years ago. I just wanted to know the process but either way his tone was condescending and an insult to my intelligence. I know what my credit was before and I know how hard I worked to bring it up for him to dismiss me without even asking relevant questions...especially since I was just asking about the process!! I feel very disrespected and hurt. I have been with this credit union since I was 17. I am sure he discourages more people like myself and I hope this review gets into the right hands so that he can be taught on how to conduct business.

John Fulton5I could not be more pleased with Dorothy Hines, the loan officer that I interacted with at Education First Credit Union for the real estate refinancing with cash out for my kitchen remodel. She was fast, accurate, responsive, and focused on moving the process forward and keeping me informed. I completed my initial application online and it was very straightforward and clear. I did not know that people still answered phones when they got a call, but Dorothy answered my calls in person most every time I called. We closed on time and moved money without a hitch. Thank you, Dorothy.
Response from the ownerThank you John! We're so glad Dorothy was able to help!

colorpurple861Don't bank with this credit union!! They lied and took almost all my sons money in fees. We opened an account for him. Requested an account that would decline any transactions that there was insufficient funds. They did not do that! They charges him over draft fees. Then I called them on it. Then said they didn't have fees. Then told us all the fees was reversed. If there are no fees how are you reversing them? The lies kept going. I felt so bad that his first time having an account was with this credit union. Everyone was always saying something different than the other people. Not a trust worthy credit union.

CeCe Harris5I want to take a moment to recognize Mr. DeShawn Goodwin, an employee at this credit union. What a pleasure to have met this amazing gentleman. I was extremely upset about some issues I had with my account and he was more than willing to assist me. He was very patient and extremely kind. This gentleman's customer service was superb and truly unforgettable. He is definitely in the right position. His positive attitude was contagious and everyone there should catch it! :-) THANK YOU Mr. Goodwin for all your help. I really appreciate your help. I wish nothing but the best for you. Take care sir. ~ Sincerely, A very Happy customer.

karima howard5I have been with this bank for years. They are very awesome and friendly. They offer assistance with so much I am so glad I am with them and nobody else! Also SHAWN/SHAUN GOODWIN STAFF IS AWESOME! I ran into one issue out of many years and I must say this staff member fixed my issue from start to finish as if it were his own. He was very compassionate and persistent about fixing my concerns and he wasn't even the cause of them. He gave the best customer service anyone could possibly give and his communication was great! I came to him IRATE AND UPSET AND LEFT RELIEVED AND THANKFUL! EVERY BANK NEEDS A MR. GOODWIN! I appreciate my bank and all of its staff but i must say this man went above in beyond!!!!!! :)

E.B. D.1Ive had an account here for over 20 years. Used to be a great pace, but either a shift in staff or management a few years ago, and went downhill. Hours aren’t convenient but they finally got an app for online banking. Wait times on the phones are too long. If you visit the bank and use the customer service window (rather than the phones) you are charged a fee. Open hours are limited to the same teaching hours, and branches too far for my planning period. When using the app, there is a multi-step process to verify bill pay but they are not in the same page causing the app to close. Then it triggers a lock. You have to call to reset (as it isn’t electronic-capable), but no one answers the phone. Most importantly, they do not monitor incoming email. I have sent repeated communications, requests to reset account locks, change passwords, register complaints, and can’t get anyone to respond.

Rowan Locke1This credit union's online banking is outdated. It constantly resets the password, and is hard to gain access to without having to call customer service or go to a branch directly. For that matter, there is no customer service available after business hours or on weekends. In addition, the ONLY ATM's you can use are the ones right at the very few credit union locations. Finally, when opening an account for me, the bank activated an extra account without my consent (I presume, so someone would get commission for having done so) - which I only caught on to because they forgot not to send me an ATM code for the second account. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

joy norah1I've been a member for almost 12yrs & I've never experienced as much disrespect & unprofessionalism as I have recently with Jim at the downtown location. He is downright rude & nasty. I have been told by other customers that he was unprofessional to them as well & I've been told by branch employees that many complaints come in about him. It seems customer complaints go unanswered & nothing is ever done. So unfortunate because I would normally have only great things to say about this Credit Union. Jim has almost completely changed that for me.
