  My spouse wrote me a $100 check to keep in my wallet for emergencies because my job takes me on the road—A LOT. One day, I happened to need that money and went to cash it at the Key West branch (drive thru). It was signed, endorsed, and my drivers license was readily handed over to prove my identity. After some strange looks and a super uncomfortable silence, the guy says he needed to call the account holder ( my wife) to verify everything, since my name isn’t listed on the account. I said sure, thinking it would only be a couple minutes. He also assured me that if he verified the check, he would waive the $5.00 check cashing fee for non-members. I sat in my car in the near-90 degree heat for TEN MINUTES! Mind you, I was the only one in the drive-thru, so it’s not like I was waiting because they were busy. When he returns, he apologizes and thanks me for my understanding, however the envelope was $5.00 short. All that jacking around for no reason—he said he’d waive it, but didn’t! But in the end , I was sweaty and irritated and didn’t want to be late for work, so I left without questioning it. Today, my wife gets a phone call from the same branch asking about a payroll check from me that had been left in the night deposit box, as is every week (99% of the time I use Sycamore branch). He interrogated her like she’d dropped counterfeit money in there. So finally, my wife just asked to speak with Diane (a manager) and the matter was swiftly resolved. So thank you, Diane. My wife has been banking with Dupaco for 30 years, and my payroll checks have been direct deposited in her account for well over 2 years. They definitely know her, and SHOULD know who I am, yet there seems to be an employee with a chip on his shoulder who shouldn’t work in a bank if he can’t treat customers with respect & dignity. Sorry Dan, we found your conduct to be unprofessional.

  The service we have received from Dupaco over that 20+ years has been nothing but EXCEPTIONAL! The rates are always competitive, the customer service has been extremely helpful, and the loyalty we have experienced is beyond measure. From our personal accounts, business account, and our children's accounts we have been very happy with Dupaco meeting all of our needs!
