Lauren Bonner5I have not enjoyed my most recent experience with this dealership. I have been trying to get my engine recall serviced since July. I finally had to settle on an October appointment due to their backlog. This is a Hyundai problem in Middle TN, every dealership is going thru this. My car broke down on Tuesday, I had it towed to the dealership. According to Thomas in the Svc Dept. they won't even look at my car/ diagnose/ take ownership for the recall problems for at least 2 weeks. They will not loan me a vehicle, even though I bought my car brand new from Hyundai. They won't cover the cost of a rental until they confirm if it's due to the recall.....2 weeks from now, if that soon. Thomas informed me that "my car is my responsibility", that my "conversation with him wasn't productive and that he has other priorities", and he ended our conversation by letting me know "if I don't like the 2 options he is giving me I can have my car towed elsewhere". Old svc mgr is gone and previous Hyundai issues were resolved by GM, Tim, in October 2019. 02/2021 UPDATE: Fast forward to 2021 and I just got a new Hyundai from Terry. He was great! Mike, in finance was wonderful also. 10/10 experience & customer service!

Nikia Grier4I can say I am truly satisfied with the service I received from the moment I contacted the dealership. I spoke with James Mitchell, and he was kind and helpful from the start. We set up an appointment and unfortunately on the day of, his previous appointment ran over, so I was assisted by Jim Skimin, one of the newer sales reps, who did not disappoint me. Being that this was my first time purchasing a car, I was clueless. Jim was patient, helpful, kind, and funny throughout the entire process. When James finally was available, he took over with ease, was equally kind and patient, and I could tell they both wanted to give me the best deal possible, I left the first day without a car, but James promised he would keep looking for something to fit my tight, "first-time" car buyers budget. Keeping in mind that I had a few other options that I was looking at with other dealerships, it was because of James that I came back. He stayed true to his word. He followed up with me through calls and texts and came up with a deal that best fit my budget x 10!!! The only reason I cannot give my experience 5 stars is that I feel they could be a little more organized. Once I got to the dealership to actually purchase the vehicle, there were some changes in rates, facts and figures and documentation needed that I feel I should have been aware of PRIOR to me getting there. For example, even though we were quoted one price for the car note, all the way up until we got to the dealership, it ended up another. BUT, it was still well within my budget so I could not complain. I even ran into Jim S. again who was just as kind and polite as the first time, and really honest with me about the difficulties of the first car buying experience. I would definitely recommend family and friends to visit Downtown Hyundai and will be back myself in the future. Thanks guys for all your hard work!!!
