      If you are like me, you just refinanced your mortgage and found out Dovenmuehle is your new service provider, and you are HORRIFiED after reading through all the reviews. I had serious thoughts about cancelling my refinance. I signed up for automatic withdrawal, and it's been 4 months without any problems. They did make the payment for my property taxes on time. I haven't had to contact customer service yet. I don't recommend or not recommend this company, but just try not to worry if you just refinanced and found out that this company is your new service provider. The people like myself who don't necessarily like or dislike a company generally don't write reviews for that company.

      They took an extra payment and after we called them several times, they finally decided to refund us but took a week to process.

      I did a refi with Mayo Credit Union and they sold it to Dovenmuhle. After having experienced such poor customer service and difficulty getting help, I looked them up on google and saw my same experience is reflected in their ratings. I am actually considering refinancing again, with all the costs that comes with it, just so my mortgage goes with another company than Dovenmuhle. Disappointed Mayo credit union deals with them.

      If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Absolutely terrible customer service. Two years ago, they just flat out forgot to pay my property taxes from my escrow account, so that was great. They were not apologetic for the inconvenience and a pain to work with getting that resolved. I finally refinanced and got AWAY from them... however, its been a month and they still haven’t sent my escrow check balance to me still... I finally called today, and was on hold for 45 minutes only to have a VERY unhelpful representative tell me that she would be transferring me AGAIN and it would be “only a short wait” its now been ANOTHER HOUR AND I AM STILL ON HOLD. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I just want to be don’t dealing with this company as soon as possible.

      Customer service hold are 20+ minutes. They dont offer semi monthly or biweekly payments. Say its free to pay online, but dont ever mention a website to pay your loan at. Nothing but bad experiences.

      My mortgage was serviced by this company for 5 years. I never had a single problem with them. Their online portal, while very simple gives you real-time access to your mortgage balance, payment due, and offers the ability to pay your mortgage online through the portal. They also offer the ability to send secure message which always gets answered within a few days. They never once messed up a payment of mine. I only received one notice from them claiming they could not verify I had homeowners insurance, and provided instructions on how to submit the proof. I provided the proof by the deadline they gave and never heard anything about it after that. Overall, a simple company that operates just fine. Sure, their website may not have all the flashy bells and whistles of say BOA or Wells Fargo, but its provides exactly what you need and is always accurate. Overall, a pleasant experience.

      Property tax calculation for the initial year didn't include improvements (like the actual house), so when tax assessment time came around the escrow account was incredibly underwater. Spent a full year barely making the mortgage payment due to the only way Dovenmuehle Mortgage would work with me was to pay the escrow amount in full. That wasn't an option since I was financially spent on closing costs in the first place. Its a weird edge case with new property that I was unaware of. After my initial lender sold my mortgage to DM I was blindsided. DM's customer service was completely unhelpful. If circumstances were even a little different, I would have lost my home. I am refinancing while into the 2nd year of my mortgage just to get away from this company.

      They made an error taking my mortgage out of my account twice for June. I have no idea why they did this. I have reported the error and am waiting for their research department to call me. I have to prove they took the $ out, since they can’t find proof. I am not happy with their services and have now extra unnecessary charges that I refuse to pay. Don’t use this company if you can use another one.

      My first contact (email) from them they didn't even tell me who they were. It just said 'You owe this much' and they wanted my bank information and a payment. That's pretty scary. After that it went pretty smooth for the next two and a half years until I wanted to pay off the loan. What a hassle. You have two options, they mail you the payoff information via snail mail, or they fax it to you. I asked 'Can't you just email it to me?' They said 'No'. I asked 'Can't you just put the payoff amount in my messages with instructions where to wire it?' 'No'. You have to pay it off with a certified check or a wire transfer. I said 'Fax it to my bank'. They said 'It will be there in 2-4 hours.' Any wired transactions to them after 3pm collect interest for that day. At noon (since it never came) we called them from the bank. They said we'll fax it again now. They didn't. Sure enough, at 3:05 the fax arrived, making me pay another day's interest. Greed. They also keep your escrow money as long as they can before they pay your property taxes. More greed. Follow up: I made my FINAL payment to them two days ago, they did not credit my account with the funds, in fact, they made an advance withdrawal on my account for over $2400. I called them immediately and asked what was up? They replied 'Oh we're sorry, we don't know how that happened, we'll resolve it within a week.' Which means they're holding my nearly $2000 in escrow refund for nearly another month. Don't use these guys.
