They were able to locate and have the car for me in only a 3 to 4 day turnaround. They gave me no hassle whatsoever on what I wanted for my trade in and made this process completely painless. Mr Mac1An embarrassment of a dealership. I tried to buy a car from Don Wood Ford for over a month. Initially an employee scheduled me for a test-drive during non-business hours, no apology. Next they failed to inform me that the car was in a repair shop, so I drove two hours for nothing. Over the next month while I waited for the car to be repaired I received ZERO apologies, and whenever I brought up the inconveniences and poor customer service, I stopped receiving responses. I made it clear that I was still very interested even after the price rose by 40%. I have never thought less of a car dealership.

Lillie Thompson3They have had my car for two months and have not finished working on. It's warranty work so they are taking there time. After the first review it took them almost a month to finish my car. Larry did call me every week to let me know what was going on. I also didn't need to pay my deductible, they took care of it for me.

Cathy Waller5I bought my Ford Escape 2016 somewhere else but chose to have it serviced in Athens. I LOVE my Escape - I took it on a trip to Phoenix and it was nothing but comfortable and reliable. It handles like a dream :) plus it is the most gorgeous car ever! One of the struts on the hatch was making a creaky noise and it was taken care of right away and the repair was covered under the warranty. Everyone in the Service Dept at Don Wood was courteous and provided excellent customer service. They should train the staff at other Ford dealerships on how to make customers want to come back!

They were changing parts that didn't need changed. I will always drive the extra miles to Don Wood. Larry and the guys are outstanding !!!!!

Chad Stephens5I had been looking all over columbus for a used Ford F-150 and just couldn't get the right deal I was searching for. I stumbled across one at Don Wood and decided to drive down to look at it. Upon arriving my the truck had been already sold but the sales staff did a great job working with me and getting me into an even better truck. I couldn't be happier with my purchase the staff was very friendly and helpful and they made the drive all the way down there well worth it. Will highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a new or used vechile.

Jeff Bullard1Poor customer service & insulting deal making. After contacting DW that we would be in this last Tuesday (200+ mile drive from my home) to view a '13 Ford Explorer Sport we prepped financing and were ready to buy. After driving the SUV we noticed A/C was not functioning. Salesman had mentioned the car had been on lot for 100 days and dealership was losing $3300... and so on. Shocked it was not working he said they could have service look at it at 3pm (it was 2pm at the time). After we go to lunch, and wait another 45 mins in lobby. Salesman returns to say they have a switch and compressor that's gone bad & will need to order parts and can't be fixed until next few days. Also, it is going to add $900 to the price? WHAT? "But We have a 2015 we can knock $1000 or so off if you wish to look at that?" We decided to & when we got to it "on the lot" it wasn't detailed and had belongings in the back. That one did not work for us. Returned to the showroom & said we would still be interested in the first one, which would include us driving over 400 miles round trip again, if they went back to original price. Salesman. "I've worked with him (boss) for 27 years and he's not going to do that, he will just put it back on the price & wait for it to sell". Ok, have a nice day. 15 minutes into drive home received a call that if we pay $300, they would pick up $600 of repair. "Only $4 difference in monthly payment". After discussion with my wife we STILL decided we would make the drive Friday... (today) if they met original advertised price, made sure we had 2 key fobs, etc. Later that day received an email that they would touch base when repair was done. Then I noticed on their site (& Autotrader) price went from $25,657 to $28,000 that day. Needless to say, they advertised great, had a nice vehicle to choose from at what was going to be a decent price, but then expected the buyer to cover their repair. If the tables were turned and we noticed A/C was out in first day or two after purchase we probably would've been laughed at to demand them pay for repair. I have nothing personal against this dealership and again, live nowhere near here. They may have a better track record than what we experienced... but I know they showed very little respect to someone that traveled a long distance and was a few signatures away from buying one of their vehicles. My Tuesday was almost 11 hours, gas, meals, time off of work for nothing but frustration. Good news is, I found a car that worked for us and a whole lot less $$$ yesterday evening! If you're local you may have a good relationship with DW Ford, if you are traveling any distance, I would for sure beware! And if it's still available, be cautious of the '13 Explorer Sport...

Michael Pryor1First off I would not give them the time of day to work on any of my vehicles. The service was down right NASTY a wast of time wanted to charge me for my truck to sit in there shop , in THERE care to be worked on some one need to report them to ( better businesses bureau). I would not suggest any to take there vehicle to don woods ford in Athens ohio
