I went to setup up a savings account for my son. There were two other tellers available and the banker refused to setup the account! There were two people behind me. Stephanie apparently does not care about growing Desert Financial business. She said they were too busy. I said I had everything I needed and she proceeded to argue with me and I said I will go somewhere else and she said that was fine. I have never been treated so rudely! As someone who has worked in banking, this is not the way to treat your customers!

      Response from the owner

Went in to make a transaction. We were helped right away. The lady who helped us was knowledgeable and helped explain different fee schedules associated with a Desert Financial account.

Desert Financial is more friendly and personable than your typical commercial Bank branch. You can walk in or phone for a prompt appointment. Good locations in stores and markets, and ATMs are right there in front. No direct deposit is needed for a checking account and a savings account is automatically tacked on. I'm sold!

      Response from the owner

Thank you for sharing your experience with us and for being a member!

Claire (inside the Queen Creek/ STV Hunt Hwy Walmart) is ALWAYS professional, helpful and friendly. She is very knowledgeable and manages a great branch. I rely on Claire and her staff to assist me with all my banking needs. She is a valuable asset to DFCU and I highly recommend Desert Financial Credit Union, because of people like Claire and her staff. They take EXCELLENT Care of their credit union members.

      Response from the owner

Nancy, we are so happy to hear about your experience with Claire! Thank you for visiting our branch and for being a member.

Been on phone for over 30 minutes and still waiting just to get a forgotten password. It would literally take 75 seconds

      Response from the owner

Just went to an in store branch out in Queen Creek area to replace a lost card. Ethan helped me out, and took great care of me! We talked like we were old friends, and it was really refreshing to feel so at ease during "these uncertain times," as they say. Great experience, the guy deserves a raise.

      Response from the owner

We are so happy to hear about your experience with Ethan! Thank you for stopping by.

I multiple times had troubles using their ATM and online banking. I am a young adult so every penny I get from work counts. The ATM took $265 dollars meant to pay bills with and spit out a sorry there was a problem receipt. I called the guy on the phone didn’t seem to care or believe me and says we will get back to you in a few days. The whole point of a bank is to keep my hard worked money safe and desert financial has ruined that for me so I will no longer be banking with them. So if you want the luxury of modern day banking so you don’t have to walk up to a teller than don’t bank with them.

so beyond frustrated with this CU. I've been with them for just over four years now. Everything was great until I had my car refinanced with them. First I was talked into some sort of protection where if I lose my job they'd cover the payment for up to three months. I was laid off applied to skip one month while I looked for a job. I did find a job but got turned down because I didn't miss more than 30 days of work. There is a monthly fee of just over $20 a month and I still got turned down? That should be explained when it's being offered. I've called my local branch since I recently traded my car in and I was inquiring about my gap refund. Prorated of course like the dealerships do. They refuse to return my call so I called the call center and spoke with someone, who was new so I was put on hold a bunch of times. First she got my info after I explained my reason for calling and I got questioned about my last gas purchase, I told her my information and she explained the price was right there were no additional charges. I wasn't asking about my gas charge, my car loan! After we got on the same page I was advised to go to my branch to sign the waiver to get my refund then asked me to hold yet again, then came back and stated that I would of have to if cancelled after the first 60 days. Cancel? I traded my car in, I've always gotten my prorated refund back? I was beyond mad at this point and then she had the nerve to say they are having a special if I wanted to apply for a visa!! Seriously?!?
