  My goodness, Derek worked hard to make sure everything for our loan worked out, despite a few hiccups on our end. He was super patient and kind through a lot of work for him. He was there for us through the whole home buying process and we would highly recommend him and the awesome team at Mortgage One.

  Our experience with Mortgage One and Derek Schetselaar was probably the easiest loan, refinance ever. Over the last 50 years we have gone through the loan process in 8 homes. Derek and his team took us through the process quickly and smoothly. I say smoothly because Derek told us how the process would work and that is exactly how it worked, smoothly and effeciently.you might say it was a no stress process.   I’ve refinanced multiple times during my life, and my last refinance with MortgageOne was the smoothest and fastest one I’ve ever done. Derek was wonderful to work with - he was very communicative and knowledgeable. Also, I felt like he helped me find the loan that made the most sense for me, not the one that would benefit him most financially. Through the process Derek definitely earned my trust. I would totally refinance with Derek and MortgageOne again in the future, and I would recommend them to anyone.

  I really enjoyed working with Derek. He helped us with our refinance and purchasing an amazing property! Working with him felt comfortable. He was very respectful, doing his best to be mindful of our time and effort in gathering information. I felt like Derek cares about his clients.   Derek was awesome. We all know the refi industry is slammed right now with interest rates being so incredibly low. Despite being so busy, Derek and his team maintained weekly contact with updates. The application process was succinct and orderly. Everything was done 100% on line or over the phone. Highly recommend this team.

  MortgageOne is the forth mortgage company I have worked with, second I have stayed to completion. I have to say not only were they friendly, professional, and prompt but also made everything so much easier than all the others. I am a first time mother with a newborn and can barely find time for anything else, so honestly I don’t think I would have been able to take advantage of the drop in interest rates if not for Derek Schetselaar, Cristina Weedman, and their team doing the bulk of the work. Thank you so much guys! Glad I met you. Edit- I would like to add that even long after our business was done, when I contacted him a couple times he remained just as helpful. I would recommend him to everyone.
