Claire Schuller1Absolutely horrendous experience. After jumping through every single hoop they have thrown at us, turning everything in the same day - or the next day at the latest - after they as for it. We are now delayed on our closing with NO RESPONSE as to when we will close now. The team at CC has even admitted that they didnt look at our documents until THE SAME DAY they had to send them over - and then called at 4:52pm asking for additional documentation. This is the most ridiculous, unprofessional experience I have ever had with a lender. And now they refuse to answer any phone calls or emails from myself or my realtor. Save yourself the added stress and downright poor treatment and go somewhere else.

Paul Dacy2Lea was great to work with but return calls or email was not very well taken care of. After sending all my information they asked for they couldn't get an appraisal company to give us an appraisal. pretty sad. Now they have all my info and have dropped our file. So I guess if your on the west coast don't bother trying to finance with them as they can't follow through. I just wish they told me they couldn't help me on the west coast from the beginning instead of wasting my time and collecting all my PERSONAL info. We will be filing a complaint with the FTC. Beware!!!

Ronald “Drift” Sponseller5Everything was GREAT, Ryan Anderson very professional and when he said closing in two weeks; The loan was completed on time just as Ryan promised. I'm definitely going to recommend CrossCountry Mortgage. Best mortgage experience I have ever had. Great work. Thank You.

Jeremy Walz5As a first time home buyer and a teacher working many hours a week, buying a home was a daunting and stressful task; until I was recommended Jay. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave great advise that took all the stress away from the process. He worked around my hectic schedule and even called right before his own family dinners to make sure I understood the process and answered any and all of my questions. Jay also has some of the nicest employees like Liz who helped and was always available when I had questions. They made the process effortless on my part, which I appreciated immensely. If you are looking to buy a house, I would highly recommend Jay and CrossCountry Mortgage.

Walter Howell1Getting the loan was fine, the process. The team is a bit disorganized and made my wife provide some of the files multiple times and would get irritated with her when she had already sent what they were looking for organized. Two years later my payment has increased $127 without warning and I'm on a fixed rate. While homeowner's insurance increased without warning nor cause (we have never made a claim) they have also created a shortage in our escrow account to the tune of over $800! BEWARE!

faye crawford5I wanted to re-finance and when my original lender did not return my calls, I contacted Cross Country and talked to Christopher Tyre. He is absolutely wonderful. Even though problems arose on my end, he remained professional and helped me reach my goal of re-financing and paying off some debt as well. My house payment went up about $30.00 a month because he got me a lower interest rate. He always returned my calls even on weekends.

Stephen Bittner2Working with Cross Country Mortgage has been a nightmare. I recently prepaid my property tax to take the deduction in 2017. I have contacted the company six times requesting a reimbursement from my escrow account with no response. The phone representatives have twice given me the incorrect email address to send a copy of the receipt. The website is very awkward to use. The online messaging does not allow attachments, where it would have been very convenient to upload my receipt. I was told at closing the interest calculations would be based on simple interest, which they are not.

Kenneth Hass1Cross Country approved our loan, made us jump through hoops and pay a bunch of debt off including our home which we sold. We were supposed to close on the house we sold and on our new home the same day. When that day arrived we were told we needed to submit more documents to give Cross Country and it would be a couple of days before we could close. We paid off our mortgage, had over $100,000 in equity that we had to deposit in the bank waiting for closing and paid off several small bills to the tune of $16,000. Not to mention we were now homeless. We ended up staying with family for 5 weeks and after jumping through all of Cross Country hoops for 3 more weeks they denied our loan. We both have excellent credit, had a bunch of money to put down and paid off nearly all our debit. I called our local bank and they closed the loan in 2 weeks with a lower rate. We hired an attorney to take care of the legal side of this issue and all the money we ended up wasting due to the poor communication and lack of knowledge from their rep Maura Colette Hagan. Beware if you are considering using this company!!!!
