Very hard to get answers out of and very unprofessional and when you call them out they just send someone else to waste your time, youre better off with Rocket Mortgage or something. These people only want to work with those who have $100,000+ in cash ready to buy a home on first contact to get any info out of them it seems like since it takes months for them to follow up with you on anything, even a simple question/answer via text. I started working with another company and got more info in 2 days versus what I got in 6+ months from these people. I do appreciate the (very) little help I got though but I do not recommend. I feel very weird that I even gave them any of my personal information because I'm actually starting to believe this is just a fake company trying to collect fees of any kind.

Dan & Steve helped me with what felt like a million questions. By the end of our conversations I always walked away feeling more informed, comfortable and prepared for the lending process. If you are looking for a company that has your best interest in mind, please reach out to Dennis & his team. They will do the job right and lead you through this with confidence.

They ruined our chance of buying a home because they couldn't get their stuff together. They cancelled our closing date and refused to reschedule it. We were set to close May 10th and was sent everything to prepare for it May 5th but Friday May 7th they cancelled the closing and kept changing their reason why.

As a 1st time home buyer my experience with Cross county has been terrible. Ken was handling my loan and had a bad experience with him. He never answered the phone never responded to emails or text messages only if he wanted info would he say anything to me and when I would try to call to ask about the info or what papers I was signing never got any where with him. I have 2 weeks before closing and I finally went with another lender. For someone that’s supposed to work for me and help me sure didn’t . I would not recommend this company to anyone! Maybe they should actually have better customer service a simple phone call would of went a long way

I began working with this company in early October 2018. Had a closing date of November 6th. Due to some issues with my credit we had to apply for a new type of loan. I had to supply all the same documentation although they had all the previous. Because I live in a very small rural community, I would have to drive over an hour to find a place where I could copy, print sign and then fax back to them. To date, I have spent $225 for that alone. I was told that I had to buy a homeowners insurance policy and pay for the first year. I did that and it was $995. I paid $575 for an appraisal, 200 for an inspection and and additional $75 for a termite inspection. We had another closing date set for 11/16. They cancelled. Finally we went with another way of financing our home and had to supply all the same documents once again. Jumped through hoops to get all this done as quickly as possible. During the whole process, I begged them to give me an estimate on closing costs ad I knew I did not have very much money. They kept saying that it was impossible to give me that estimate until closing date. We had 3 more closing dates set that they cancelled. No explanation. Finally on 12/20 we had a closing date set and my daughter was coming in from out of state to sign with us on the loan. That closing was cancelled by Cross Country on the the morning of 12/20. Real estate agent and Title co. kept calling and did not get a response. But they did a final employment check for my daughter and learned that she had quit her job that morning in order to move to be with me and her brother who is multiply handicapped. She had another job waiting for her here, making more money. The final email I got from them was that our loan was denied because she wasn't employed. Now they do not respond to emails, texts, phone calls. Our new lender has requested all the documentation and FHA number so that they can expedite our loan, they said they would send it but it has been over 2 weeks and nothing yet. Mr. Kratz has been very rude to me and once even yelled at me for emailing him. To date, I am out the cost of the appraisal report, the inspection(s) fax costs and the homeowners insurance. I did get back 11 months of the insurance when I cancelled it so that amount is $60 that I paid for a home I did not own. I would like to be reimbursed for these costs. And am seriously considering a lawsuit because they are either a scam company or totally incompetent. Either way they should not be in business of trying to help people.

Adam Andrews and his team blatantly lied about the status of a loan while wasting 2 months of our time waiting for it to get approved. The loan was stuck in underwriting and instead of being upfront and honest, he chose to tell us the the file was in fact with USDA, which was the final step before we could close. The truth is that he pre-qualified a buyer that was NOT able to get APPROVED. Once we came to the realization that he was giving us false updates, Adam and his entire team stopped all communication without explanation. Very bad business, unprofessional, and unethical behavior.
