  There are so many organizations out there that claim they will help you get out of debt, n they reel you in n then charge fees on top of the money you already owe, n I recall fearing that, when I met with CCCS, but they truly made a difference! They were able to work out a payment plan that was reasonable; they were able to lower my interest rates from 28-32% down to 1%, so that my payments were applying towards the balanced owed! There were no surprises of higher interest rates, or penalty fees, or a sudden double payment, or any other games these banks would play. I went from a projected balance payoff of 25 years to 4 years, by turning to CCCS. They even warned me that i might have trouble getting credit for a little while, but I didn’t. They took very good care of me and if I had concerns or questions they always made time to help me find the answers and solutions. They truly want people to succeed in getting out of debt and they really isn't much in it for them, they are really great people. Credit is a sensitive topic n it can be embarrassing to talk about, but I’ve learned theres no shame in asking for help. I didn’t take any loans out or get any breaks on what I owed creditors, but they helped me by being an advocate for me while talking to my creditors. I would be paying double what I paid monthly, for probably another 10+ years if not for CCCS. I did not realize until recently, they thrive solely by word of mouth. We see commercials for everything... except what we actually need... who pays for those commercials? The consumer... We don't see loads of commercials, because they aren’t pocketing money from the people they are helping. Any advertisement is actually by volunteers who they have helped, that they asked! This is truly a great organization, and Im so thankful I was referred to them, because my life is better because of what they do!

  I spent an hour or so with Jared at Consumer Credit Services, I was very impressed on his ability to help me sort out my financial nightmare I created. He was able to give me good sound information as well as a game plan to move forward. Thanks , I would highly recommend!

  Consumer Credit Counseling Service makes a huge difference in peoples' lives. I saw this firsthand when a dear friend was hopeless and desperate--drowning in debt. She was reluctant to ask for help but finally relented and was welcomed with open arms at Consumer Credit Counseling Service. She was treated exceptionally well by her counselor and after a few sessions, she was back in a good mental place. It is taking her time to pay off her debt, but the payment plan she is on is helping her stay focused and feel like she is finally making progress. I am really happy that they were there for her--and would definitely recommend them for anyone needing help in this area.

  This is a totally reputable company that works between you and your creditors to lower your interest rates and give you workable monthly payments spread out over up to 5 years. The credit accounts are frozen and you make one payment to CCCS, and they turn around and pay all of the creditors on your behalf. They negotiate interest rates that you can't get yourself. I'll give you an example: I had one credit card that was at an over 25% interest rate. I called them on my own since I had been a good paying customer for years to see about lowering my interest and payment. "We don't do that for anybody here," was the bland reply. When I went thru CCCS, they got the interest rate down to 0%!! (Most cards go down to 2% to 9%). The monthly payment for that card went from $192 to $94 - ALL paid to principle. This company has very nice staffers who are extremely helpful and are quick to get back to you if you leave a message. I highly, highly recommend them to anyone who is getting overwhelmed by their bills. You don't have to be in collections, either. I wish I had done this years before. I was so stressed out. CCCS was, and is, very hard working and helpful!!

  Spent time organizing my finances. I can breathe again. The process is very comprehensive, the staff is smart and helpful! Lisa was my Counselor and I’d recommend her to anyone. Thank you CCCS for getting me back on track!

  I would recommend the CCCS not only to the persons who experience financial difficulties but to everyone else who would like to educate themselves on how to better manage their budgets (big and small!) and understand the responsibilities that come with being a mortgage or credit card holder. Having attended one of the workshops offered by CCCS recently, I appreciate how knowledgeable...and approachable the staff was. (Special thanks to the Community Outreach Manager Robby Dunn!)

  I absolutely recommend CCCS. The staff is wonderful, incredibly helpful and genuine. I left my appointment feeling much more empowered. If you are worried about your finances, have questions about your student loans - whatever - do not hesitate to call and make an appointment. It is worth it!

  Thank you Jim from Niagara falls Consumer Credit Counseling services, for the Recommendation, for my daughter to go see Lisa in the west Seneca office, for counseling her student loans. Her and my husband got so much out of a 2 hour meeting. Well worth the time!

  Lisa F. was enormously helpful regarding my student loans. We discussed repayment options in detail and she took the time to call two servicers while I was in the office which served to both clarify some concepts of which I was unsure and to get the ball rolling regarding a new payment plan. If you are having issues with your student loans I would highly advise getting yourself to CCCSBUFFALO as soon as you can. They are a wonderful resource. We also used Sonya for a separate family debt/budgeting meeting and it was equally fruitful.

  So incredibly helpful helping me get a plan going for my very VERY large student debt! I just followed the prompts on the NFCC website that directed me to CCCS. It involved gathering my pay stub and tax info but they did all the heavy lifting. I was granted a phone appointment where a very friendly counselor Lisa Frankenberger shared her computer screen with me and guided me through all of my options giving me expert advice and helping me get on a repayment plan that as a Music Major, I was able to do! These people really just do want to help. Thanks!
