Community Financial Credit Union Reviews

Lauren Cooper1This location is HORRIBLE. Consistently have to wait 15min or more in line at the drive through and then have to wait an eternity just to get a receipt once it’s my turn In line. Can’t wait to not have to deal with this anymore after I sell my house.

Joshua C1They didn't give me money or a new debit card because my License was expired/voided. But still clearly my name and face. They said it was there policy which I comprehend but when I went to other branches they were quick to help and said it's not that big of a deal. Only a one star because other branches helped without hesitation. They comprehended it was me and I needed money for the day. I understand policies are important but helping people is different especially since it's my money.

Jamie Diaz1Today I arrived at 12:50 P.M. It took 12 minutes for the car ahead of me to receive service and then once it was my turn, the employees just stared at me while ignoring me through the window for 5 minutes not saying anything. After receiving no communication I just drove away. I am a 10+ year loyal member and will be now cancelling my account here.
Response from the ownerHi Jamie. We’re sorry to hear about your recent visit as we strive to provide the highest level of service to our members. Our branch manager, Jill, will be reaching out today so she can learn more about your visit.

Tasha Myers1I have been going to this branch for a while now, and there is a particular woman who continues to be very unprofessional with me. All other associates are awesome, but her…. she has a very condescending attitude and I am over her attitude and her disrespectful nature. Do better! you do know you are working with the public!
Response from the ownerHi Tasha. Thank you for sharing your experience. Our Michigan Ave Branch Manager, Brandon, would like to discuss this further with you. Could you please give him a call at your earliest convenience at 877-937-2328 ext. 9002. Thank you for choosing Community Financial for your banking needs.

Ryan Walch-Potter5Only recently started using this credit union and so far have been extremely happy. Jill has been very helpful with both my loans and would recommend anyone to joining this credit union. They have the ability to make your debit /credit cards in house. Thats a first for me.

Jeremiah Roberts5I have belonged to Community Financial Canton (Mich.Ave) for many years and recently have been in the market for a vehicle in which I haven't had one for quite some time.I met with my now loan officer Megan Rock and let me tell you she was amazing. I walked in the bank expecting to not even get approved for a loan and Megan assisted me with ease from beginning to finish. I can not say enough good words about Megan and how helpful she was. She is very kind, compassionate and very professional. It is because of her that I am now a proud owner of a 2012 Jeep Patriot and back on the road and heading forward to complete my goals in life. I thank Megan and am very pleased with Community Financial and all its kind employees.
Response from the ownerHello Jeremiah! Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We always work to provide the very best service and are happy to hear about your experience with Megan. Congratulations on your new car and thank you for choosing Community Financial. Good luck as you move forward to conquer your goals!

Lexii J5I’ve been with CFCU for years and I have nothing but Good things to say about my credit union. They work with me and are very helpful. Recently I met my new financial representative Megan and she is amazing at what she does, so helpful and kind. We didn’t feel rushed, but with all we needed help with, she was very fast at taking care of us and explaining everything.

Megan Munroe5My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting and dealing with Jill today. We were signing documents for our loan. She was such a breathe of fresh air! She answered our questions about the loan and other questions we had. She explained all the paperwork. And took her time. Which to me was very important! We sadly haven’t been to happy with our experiences with other people who work for this credit union. But Jill was AWESOME AND REASSURED us that we were in good hands! Thank you,Jill ❤️

Jabin Young2I've had an account with this credit union for almost 8 months and their tellers are amazing. Today I went into the branch to see if I could get the holds release from 2 MONEY ORDERS I deposited into my account for car repairs I need done for my car. Needless to say the wonderful Michelle who is some sort of branch manager came to the counter with the teller to talk to me about the situation. She had a whole attitude when she walked up, she looked so bothered. And she also said, "How are you today? I'm the one who called you." She called me Monday saying they were trying to make sure I am the one depositing the 2 money orders in my account. During that phone call she asked me where did I get the money from... I answered but also feel that it was none of her business. That was very intrusive, and I didn't feel it was appropriate to asked me that question. I guess she may have heard me talking to the teller about that. By her stating she was the one who called me, meant she heard my conversation with the teller, and instead of having a nasty attitude she should've explained to me the process. After she asked me how was I, I said, "I'm good, how about yourself?" She replied, "Good." The teller says it's too early to tell", trying to lighten the moment. I said to Michelle (the branch manager, call specialist, whoever she is there) Seems like you're not having a good day, but that's fine. I did this acknowledging to her that I clearly see she has an attitude and a rude demeanor. She didn't know how to respond, then she's asking me questions with an attitude. At this point I'm over the conversation. I know this, once I get this car pair done, I'm shutting down my account there because I felt this type of behavior as a manager, supervisor, whatever high position you have is unacceptable. I did nothing to Michelle, and as stated if she heard me talking about the phone call she should have explained the reasons to me right there. The 8 months have been great but at this point Michelle is the factor for me leaving CFCU.
