  I had 20 years of a great relationship with Merchants Bank until Community Bank. N.A. took over. They are without a doubt the worst bank I've ever dealt with. Do yourself a favor and avoid.

  I've been a longtime customer of Merchants Bank which was bought out by Community Bank. Since the takeover, my 7-year-old has received a credit card offer (in a hand-written envelope from the College Street branch), the bank now charges $2 for paper statements, and the online payment system is not intuitive (i.e. all our old online payees are difficult to remove after being resurrected by the takeover). Initial impressions do not meet expectations. Will continue there since I'm embedded, but will approach business skeptically.

  Puts holds on bank checks! On a weekday! I've never heard of such a policy. Do yourself a favor and join a local credit union. Update in response to business - Standard practice is to call the issuing bank and verify the funds. It takes 5 seconds and can be done at any Credit Union. This is how banking is done these days. Your policy is behind the times by a few decades.

  Have been a customer with Merchants for decades. New service? Waited in drive up line for 30+ minutes. Gave instructions 3x and still was given the wrong denomination of bills. Figure out how to work with covid, rehire more staff and open your lobbies

  This branch is awful. It was so much better when it was Merchants Bank. The worst part about it was the manager. So rude and impolite when I spoke to her. Avoid this branch like COVID

  This bank has mishandled mine, and another person of my names $$$ on multiple occasions. After the 5th time rightly giving back said persons money, I spoke with a very flustered branch manager, to no effect. Avoid this location.

  Went to this banks atm took out $500 it changed my card the $500 and never gave me the cash. Worst bank around I would not recommend anyone doing business with this bank ever!!!

  Greatest Bank ever customer service unbelievable willing to go the extra mile to help you out fantastic whoever disagrees should have their head checked all the employees are top-notch and on their game all the time thanks again it's nice to have a friendly Bank around the area great to deal with
