Commonwealth Auto Credit Reviews

Nieka Jenkins5I'm convinced the negative reviews are from ppl who don't pay their bill. CAC is about their money. Period. Down to the cent. They called me to make a payment on the cent amount that I accidentally left off of my original payment but hey ... It's a business. Holly is always nice and professional. I have no complaints nor have I ever had a negative interaction with any staff member. I have had to make payment arrangements and they were still nice.

Terry Lakes5Commonwealth Auto Credit would get 10 stars it was a choice. I would like to start off by letting everyone who is reviewing this review know that Mrs. Toni and her team (both Holly and Holly) are AWESOME!!! They are all respectful and understanding to your personal situation. Life happens and when you need a financial company to give you a second chance CAC will do just that...You must 1st understand that if you are working with CAC that you must be recovering or establishing your credit. I’m going to be extremely honest about my experience with CAC. My credit score was in the low 500 when I was financed for a luxury vehicle through this company...after one year of consistently making my car payments a priority to re-establish my credit, my credit score jumped to a 680...enough points to buy a house. I see that there are a lot of negative reviews about CAC but I’m certain that these reviews came after the great news that CAC gave them the opportunity to get transportation for work, family and personal needs and then payments on loan began to be late or not paid at all. If we all do right by CAC we can all have success stories and maybe just maybe they can lower the interest rates a little for second or third chance individuals in the future. We have to pave the way to keep this company around for future community members who need their support. Mrs. Toni and her team doesn’t deserve to be disrespected or talked bad about for giving someone who was denied by all other financial institutions a second or third chance at getting behind the wheel of a vehicle that is very much needed. Without Mrs. Toni believing in me and having faith that I was going to prioritize paying my car payments, me and my son would have been in a bad place without transportation. Let’s all remember before posting a negative review...how happy we were when all other institutions turned us away or told us to get a co-signer. I would recommend CAC to anyone who has no other options. We all know their interest rates are extremely high but the goal is to get in, show credit worthiness and become a success story. Thank you Mrs. Toni, Ms. Holly and Ms. Holly for always being patient, respectful and educating me. I’m happy to say I’m now a successful business owner and this would not have been possible without their support and my dear Heavenly Father. Please let’s do our best to do right by these beautiful ladies and if you have been turned away by everyone else, don’t hesitate to call Commonwealth Auto Credit. Be Blessed and stay safe Everyone. Thank you for reading my long review!!!

Michael Yavorsky5I was disabled and suffered ruinous credit ratings due to huge medical bills I had to slowly pay back. Trying to rebuild my credit and acquire a safe vehicle to drive was difficult. I visited several car lots to find none willing to trust me with a loan. Then I found a lot who cooperates with Commonwealth Auto Credit, who was willing to give me an opportunity to purchase the needed vehicle. The interest rate I received was a little higher than I had hoped, but it allowed me a starting place to start rebuilding credit. I do not feel cheated because of the higher rate, because my credit rating made it impossible to get the loan elsewhere, that they freely offered. I am paying for a service, in my mind, and it is quite fair. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear from several people at Commonwealth throughout the last several years I have been paying off my loan (a three year loan almost up). They didn't call me to badger me about late payments, they called to remind me of UPCOMING payments, and occasionally did call me to remind me that I had forgotten my payment, which I found helpful, as I HAD forgotten to make the payment. The charges for the payments made irritate some people, but I think of tips I leave for waitresses and service people, and it doesn't bother me when I think of it that way, because the people are so great! Always they are pleasant and will make small talk as we wait for the computer to bring up the pertinent facts. You do not feel as if you are on the phone with a computer. There is a personal touch at Commonwealth that few businesses have been able to maintain in this day and age. I feel like I have friends at Commonwealth, because they have treated me so well. I see some of the reviews left by others, complaining, yet I would remind people that sometimes it is embarrassing to come up short on your bills. I have seen no reason whatsoever to be upset or dissatisfied with the people at Commonwealth Auto Credit in three years of doing business with them. Their charges are clearly expressed and you always know what you are getting. They have been fair with me, and I appreciate that. I am less than six months from paying my car off (when other businesses will start tricking you into late payments and charges) and I am getting the same smiling, happy service I have gotten from the beginning. If you are rebuilding your credit, or have no credit and seek to start building a good credit history, Commonwealth Auto Credit might be just the company to help you out. You couldn't ask for a more straightforward company; they are clear about charges and payments, very willing to help when you have an issue to address, and always pleasant and predictable. Thank you, Commonwealth Auto Credit. I am well on my way to the credit rating I want, instead of the one I was stuck with.

Anne-Randolph Alewine5Holly H with Commonwealth Auto Credit has been with me since the beginning, and I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. She was always extremely helpful with any problems/concerns that arose, and always found a quick solution. The only thing that made me hesitant about paying off my car was losing that relationship. Holly will definitely be missed.

Natasha Palmer1I pay My payments every month. I just had a baby and went out on short term disability so my check was short i told Them this and I’m not even 30 days behind on my payment just a 2 1/2 weeks and they disabled my vehicle even though i offered Them $100 dollars and to pay another 100 next Friday. If you get a car from that dealership please please please do not finance through them. These people are horrible and need to go out of business.

Jamie Robertson5It is disturbing to review the reviews I see below. Commonwealth Auto Credit may have high Rates for some people, but remember, when you are building your credit and need help, you have to start somewhere. And remember, you signed the documents that are gone over with you before you leave with the car. And I see where there are reviews of calling them liars or being called liars.. well, if you would just be honest no matter what or keep the communication then you should not have problems. BUT I don't see them calling anyone liars or being different to anyone NO MATTER their diversity. NO I don't work for them, but I can tell you that in 1 Year, my husband and I have bought 2 cars from them and they have helped us so much with building our credit.. and not only that let me just admit that we have come by some trouble in our lives and Toni and everyone there has been EXTREMELY NICE AND CARING, and yes has help us. I have never been treated like family by any bank or auto place like I have been with them. I look to in the future of buying another car with them or even having my children do so.. I work for one of the largest banks in the world and I rather go thru Commonwealth then them.. and I have in the past 1 year sent family and co-workers there and they have never had an issue.. remember communication is EVERYTHING and if you don't have that, you have nothing.

mohamed hegazy1the worst customer service i have dealt with. they refuse to provide very simple request. they signed the lien release hold section on the title by hand and when we asked to be stamped with their official stamp they refused. we asked if they can provide lien release letter on their letter head and they refuse to do that as well which is my right. Ms. Kelly which is the manager was very rude over the phone and claimed she doesn't know who i am. i explained to her i am the owner of the car and i can't issue a title under my name because of this issue and she still wouldn't understand or try to even listen to my explanation and she hung up the phone while i am talking.

Johnny P1They aren't accredited with the BBB if that tells you anything!!The rude female dog of a manager needs to go along with LG! You have a 10 day grace period and these ladies will call the first day into the grace asking for a payment. They will Threaten to disable your vehicle and are very disrespectful. They make up their own rules regarding the contract in their favor when it's convenient for them. When I'm in the Hampton roads area, I WILL be stopping by to speak with the managers manager face to face. These dogs act like its their own personal money coming out of their personal bank account. I've been paying on my car for over 18 months now so there's no need to harass me. They will also accuse you of lying just as the previous reviewer stated. Drive time is better!!
