Casey5Started banking here because a friend recommended them and they were a convenient banking location for my family. We have since moved a good distance away and we still only bank at Citizens because of the amazing VP Michelle Jones. She is great to work with, direct, personable, and takes the time to help. The tellers are always cheerful too. Couldn’t ask for a better banking experience.

CM J1Poor Service Lots of Fees. After banking here for a few years we are to the point of closing our accounts and moving to another bank. Each time you set-up a new basic savings or checking account which has to be in-person and takes an excessively long time with lots of unnecessary paperwork the account defaults to paper statements. This would be fine, but not at CIB where they charge you $2.00 for every account every month! On a call to "customer service" I explained I wanted the fee removed and enroll in e-statements. The fee was never removed and I just received another paper statement... Additionally they moved all of their accounts to have fees associated with them if you want an interest-bearing account. (The fees more than offset any little interest they pay). This bank is slow to adapt new technology and under-invests in mobile and web and I would NOT recommend this bank. If the effort involved in switching to a new bank and changing all the auto deposit/withdrawals wasn't so involved I would have switched a long time ago.

jimesha lewis1Bad customer service, I been with them since the age 15 im 25 now and nothing changed but the card. it’s the same bad, out dated, slow ATM, slow balance report , they charge for every little thing and bad customer service all around the company, DONT BANK, Save time and go somewhere else cus I am…. Hope this helps someone make a good decision

Donny Gettinger5I switched to CIB after leaving a big bank, and have appreciated the degree of concern and care found at this bank. Deposited checks take a little longer to clear, but that hasn't been too much of an issue. Employees are professional and friendly, and they also have an excellent customer service team consisting of real people you talk to in person, not just a hot line.

Cindy Reimann5Best bank ever! You are not treated like a number at CIB, you are treated like family. As a new customer they helped find the best options for me when I opened my accounts. Yesterday my purse was stolen and we called them right away. The speed in which they sprung into action was outstanding! Ashley and Johanna really made me feel like everything was going to be okay. I was so frightened that the thief had all of my banking information and they took care of everything. My husband was out of town and they even took every measure to make sure that he was able to access our funds while traveling. I left the bank today feeling safe again. Thank you CIB for including us in your family!

D Zee1I experienced very poor customer service when trying to cash my pay check - long signature verification process that left me standing at the teller window alone for almost 20 minutes. Finally I took my paycheck and left the bank, unable to cash it. I went to the Robbinsdale branch and they were happy to help me. The service fee for a non account holder is $10 per check. I am going to stick with Wells Fargo in the future...

Fire GregPalmer1Used to love having relaxing Saturday mornings when I could get my banking done at my local branch. Until Gred decided to discontinue Saturday’s in Plymouth. Now I need to take time away from my job when I should be making money, just to cash a check. Greg Palmer honestly has the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a while. What a shame, used to be an awesome bank.

N Nygaard2Bad experience thus far. Pretty sloppy bank. Was told, 'we want this to be your main account' Well, not with this horrible service. 1) Opened new account. Employee made me wait 2 weeks for debit card because he 'forgot' to turn in paperwork. 2) Same employee didn't double check the email address he typed in, had it wrong, still can't online bank. 3) Went in to branch to figure out online banking problem. She seemed competent enough, but took correct email and said 'I got this'... I left, still can't online bank At least she told me I needed to enroll in eStatements. So when I come in to close my account. Don't be too surprised.

Greedy Greg1Remember when CIB offered the VISA check card so you didn't have to wait 15+ seconds for the Mastercard chip to process? When asked if CIB could produce any evidence that the inconvenient mastercard was more secure the bank refused. When I showed them my VISA card was never comprised while my Mastercard with chip is frequently compromised and asked why they made the change... the greedy bank president Greg Palmer laughed at me and told me it was none of my business why they changed checking cards. Actually Greg, since it inconveniently affects me everyday you''ve made it my business.
