  Horrible branch. Walked in and no tellers. One woman in a cubicle with another customer tells me she's in the bathroom. I'm like really, well maybe someone needs to dole out for a second teller. The teller finally strolls out like she's walking into her living room and then proceeds to tell me she can't replace my bank check from another branch, which was a total lie. Shut it down - customer service is non existent here.

  Not sure I should give it any star, I had to rate what it deserves, Let me get to it, my son just got his debit card, Citizen bank just took over, HSBC he's been trying to activate his card his paycheck is trapped, he's been calling customer service to activate his card other banks make it easy not Citizen Bank , there's no chat there's no response the automated response when he calls the 800#, his card has been activated, however he has not been able to use the debit card not sure it Citizen bank, was a good choice for him, I'm trying to get him to move to a more reliable bank , with real customer service, and don't get me started on the fact that there are barely no locations in the city. Not my bank, Citizen bank.

  Ppl are not professional. You come inside waiting to be helped for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledge you. One employee walked by you and just looked at you while the other one on the other side of the teller window just sits and makes phone calls. Now, I know why no one bothers to pick up the call, when I tried calling to asked to have the money ready prior to arriving at the bank. They need training for customer service. These employees are on the wrong line of work

  Stephanie Torres is very disgusting rude lady! She needs to be fired. She deliberately didn’t help of my concerns duration of leaving the country soon. I could not properly understand her and she sceamed and yelled at me forcefully! Hopefully she can get it together. AMESS

  Worst mortgage experience of our life that we will be reeling from for years. Citizens Bank pulled their financing after issuing a commitment just days before our closing in late March after the Covid virus temporarily shut down our business. We had 130% of the entire purchase price in liquid savings and would have been able to make years worth of on-time monthly payments from our savings in a worst case scenario. Citizens officials treated it as if our business would never reopen again. Citizens treated the situation as if we were abruptly closed permanently. Agents were extremely busy juggling multiple deals and would re-ask for the same documents multiple times over which wasted much time. Communication was good, but you have to stay on top of them to move the process along, which was difficult. Underwriter was extremely tedious to a point that they acted like they were looking for an excuse to kill our deal even with 800+ credit scores and substantial savings. Once they pulled their commitment, we even offered to put a significantly larger downpayment and even pay a higher interest rate to save the deal, but it did us no good. Citizens Bank completely kicked us to the curb last minute when the Covid virus struck us, and now we are in litigation with the seller for a missed closing deadline. We are now paying litigation legal fees that would equal months worth of mortgage payments. Please AVOID using Citizens Bank for your mortgage and home financing needs at all costs. Biggest mistake of our lives was to work with Citizens Bank based on a personal relationship we had with their agent from knowing them for years. Never again.

  Poor customer service. Very poor I can never call this a bank. Since they bought HSBC it is very hard to get though to someone or their customer service

  I have had a problem with transaction and I have contacted the phone hotline several times but they couldn’t help me solve my problem. Then I decided to step in to the branch as my last chance. First I came in I was greeted by nice lady and she gave me a bottle water to cool me down and then the branch manager Alex Payne came and inquired about my problem. He is very attentive and quickly understand my issue. Then he contact the bank corporate for me and explain my issue to them clearly. Couple days after, my issue has been resolved. Thank so much for the very professional service.

  Most unpleasant. I have a business account with Citizens Bank, and went to the White Plains branch to open a personal account. Nothing on their website or in any of my phone calls with this branch notified me that they require “appointments” for service on Saturdays, even though I was there with plenty of time for them to open a simple account. She refused to open any account for me. I wasted my morning trying to extend my business to this bank.
