Chase Bank Reviews

Matthew Small2I normally do not like to leave any negative review . But I have been trying to get a hold of them for a couple days now. The phone just keeps ringing. It’s very hard to do business with a company that controls your money and they won’t answer a phone to talk about it.

Mercedes Crawford2I haven't had any issues with customer service in a while but I'm extremely frustrated with my local bank closure! My nearest Chase is now 30 minutes away! Because of my hours and the limited bank hours on the weekend I literally don't have access to the bank now! I've been with chase for 14 years, but I think it's time to change that. It seems they want to make us jump through hoops for our own money! I'm over it! I'd rather go back to all cash at this point. 😒

Katie Smith1If you plan on dying anytime soon, take your money out of Chase and move it to an account at Abound Credit Union NOW. If you don't, your family will have a heck of a time trying to settle your estate! Just looked over the reviews on here and apparently estates are a repetitive problem at Chase. If I could have given 0 stars I would but it appears 1 star is Google's minimum. My dad had a Chase Bank account and passed away 12/12/2021. I was named legal administrator of his estate, appointed by the Court. Went in there 1/21 trying to get someone to assist me in discussing closing his account and either moving any remaining funds to his estate account, or paying the balance. (I don't even know if its overdrawn.) They told me they would scan in his death certificate and my court appointment paperwork and would call in 1-2 business days. 1 week later, they still haven't done this. (I was there today on 1/28.) The teller stated to me they were short staffed and that shouldn't have taken this long, and their bankers haven't reviewed the documentation yet. I asked them to call me back, and they never did. Took down their number but from the reviews on here it sounds pretty useless. If court comes up next month and they still haven't done anything maybe I'll get lucky and my attorney can subpoena the branch manager into court. Because I'm doing everything I should, Chase is just not complying with a court order and *I* don't want to be held accountable. As the administrator I'm responsible for answering to the court. I went through this same process at Abound for his other bank and they had made an appt and had me out in an hour or so with no problems so there is no excuse for this. So if you plan on dying, please leave Chase so your family doesn't have to deal with their hassle.

Thomas Hersker1Worst bank in the world refuses to accept cash. They said accepting cash would be laundering money would not allow me to deposit money into my girlfriend's checking

Brent Dunn1They are hands down the hardest business to work with, you can call and ask a question but they won't answer it, they restrict how much of your money you can use, and are overall not a service I would recommend. I will he taking my business elsewhere, especially since they hung up on me

Chris Emerson5I have banked with Chase (and primarily in Etown) since opening my first account. I have been to this office a few times the last year since they shut down their other branch off of N. Mulberry St. and they are reasonably fast in offering service and finding solutions. It is the only Chase near/in Etown now, so there is usually a line, but even with 5-7 people in front of me it only took about 5 minutes tops to reach a desk. The service was very nice and remarkably fast given my unusual savings bond transaction.

Linda Crook1Banked with Chase for several years. Always excellent service. However now the lobby’s are closed. Drive-In personnel can’t or won’t answer questions. They direct you to the 800 number. The people who answer these numbers don’t speak English as their first language so it’s almost impossible to get the information you need. Looking for a new bank! Received a letter stating they are closing 1000 branches due to COVID. Do these people think their customers were born yesterday?? Well Not ME.

Jason Smith1Waited in line 20 minutes just to make a simple deposit, do not use these people for a business account you will be late getting back to work every time.
