  Do not recommend trying to get a car loan from this credit union. They do not pre approve you so you have to find a car and get the VIN in order for them to run it. Then they take several days to process it. They didn’t even call me I had to call them after 3 days to find out. If you are declined they don’t give you a reason in person or over the phone they send you a letter in the mail. Not sure why anywhere else can do this all in the same day. They definitely waste a lot of your time. My daughter’s Credit Union was able to pre-approve without a VIN and I was able to get my loan with in a day. Terrible customer service.

  Nothing like getting locked out of your account when trying to make sure no one has made a false purchase with my card. Then I was not able to access anyone on the help line because of ‘Columbus day hours’. So now I’ll be locked out of my account for a whole day when it looks like someone is trying to hack into my account.

  Even in this age of the coronavirus, Charter Oak gives exceptional customer service through their Drive-thru. They are providing all the same services as they do in branch (opening a new account with your Debit card given on the spot, Debit card replacement at the time of visit, etc). All the tellers are friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and patient. Although I miss the face-to-face contact, I have never left feeling like I've missed that "personal touch".

  I'm seriously impressed. I opened an account today and the customer service was exceptional. I was greeted by the bank manager who wanted to simply introduce herself and welcome me to their institution. The interest rates on their accounts is some of the best I've seen, and their app is incredibly user friendly. I'm definitely pleased with my experience so far and looking forward to using them for my primary banking institution.

  The staff here are always pleasant and make for an enjoyable experience. I now use them exclusively due to the excellent service.

  It's a bank they give you money. Just don't go in there with a ski mask . They don't like them LOL
