  I wanted to open an account at Charter Bank. I didn’t know what kind I should open we talked for a little bit and she suggested a Money Market and then said I could do that with another of my accounts. I appreciated the advice. She was helping me make some interest even though interest is so low. An increase is better then nothing Thank you Kathy

  Would not us charter bank at all. Had an account there but since it had a zero balance for three weeks they automatically closed it. No notification that it was closed, had to call when trying to figure out where checks went that were supposed to be deposited in that account. Also tryied two months earlier to get a refinance loan and i was told they didn't have time that day call back at a later date. Unless you are a business they don't care about you

  The last thing I want to do is leave a negative review for any business, but I am. I am into my 4th year w/ having a mortgage loan w/ Charter Bank and it has been anything but smooth. There have been several issues and every time its up to me to fix them even though it has clearly been because of their errors. Now as I am refinancing and find that Charter Bank reported me as missing a payment, I have never missed a payment (I am on auto pay). Charter Bank has gone as far as to say on multiple phone calls that they have never reported me as missing a payment nor do they show me missing a payment. Very unhappy with my entire experience and would move my loan tomorrow if I could, but I am trapped because of this error. I highly recommend looking elsewhere and after much reservation have decided to share my very negative experience. I am in my 3rd attempt to have this corrected by Charter Bank, maybe now they will address my issue instead of blowing me off.

  Never had a problem with Charter. Great service and several no charge ATMs. I’m 54 and have had a few other banks in my life and will stay with Charter!

  Have used 4 different banks in the last few years for business, mortgage, and personal banking and Charter is hands down the best. Have gradually switched all my accounts from other banks to Charter.
