Central Pacific Bank Reviews

Maria Sims1Been with the bank for 10 years. Asked to remove a person off of my account. Had that person go into the bank to be taken off the account and they refused. They said I would have to close the account and open a new one. What decade are we in. Do they not have technology that can do this. I have a ton of automatic payments I would need to spend 20+ hours redoing. This is terrible customer service. Terrible.

Drew Ward4I've been banking with the kihei branch for almost 20 years. in the beginning the people were the friendliest people you ever met. over time the people have become more and more stiff necked and noses up in the air. but they have continued to go out their way and make banking as easy and pain free as possible. they have the agility to make life crazy hard on each of us now. with the bydan's new banking laws. just moved and was forced to open an account with a local bank. I now miss CPB Kihei Branch. and wish they were not strictly a hawaii bank.

Kristie Craven1I closed my account after the bank teller became angry with me for asking about how much longer it would take to get an answer about a hold that was placed on my account without being told. She actually turned bright red, started head bobbing me and basically threw my ID back at me. I called to report her unprofessionalism and the branch manager didn't even bother to return my call. If you are trying to move money from a mainland bank DO NOT bank here!

D Patt1We had a business and savings account at Central Pacific Bank-Piilani Village for over 15 yrs. We were moving off-island and closed our account a couple of weeks ago. Prior to closing our account, we told them we had some rolls of quarters be would like to exchange for bills. They said as long as the coins were rolled there would be no problem. Today, we went to them with $250 worth of "bank" rolled quarters and asked to exchange them for bills. The clerk asked we had an account there. We told her we did and we just closed that a few weeks ago because we are moving. She told us that she could only exchange up to $100 because we did not have an account. I told her the background and asked her if she could check with a supervisor for approval. She said she couldn't do that and that because we no longer had the account there was nothing to "note" (whatever that meant). I asked her if she could just reference our previous account number and date it was closed. She said "No, I have to treat you as a non customer." Really? Is that how you attract non customers? Anyway, we exchanged our $100 limit and went down to the hill to Bank of Hawai'i. We thought there was little chance since we didn't even have a previous account there. Bank of Hawaii was so much more accommodating and supportive. We were able to immediately exchange the coins for bills and the clerk was extremely professional and friendly. Guess where we will be banking when we return.

Josh Sommers5Everyone at this bank is seriously "the friendliest person I have ever met." Every time you walk in you are greeted with a smile and a friendly hello (yes, every time. They have never missed a beat even after several years of banking!) If you are tired of being "just a customer" elsewhere and want a bank that treats you like a friend do yourself a favor and open an account. As for service and support? These guys know their stuff. There isn't a question you can ask that they can't answer.

Aubrey Bumatay1The teller who set up automatic auto payments for my account needs to be properly informed on your policies. I was being charged more interest because of that incompetence. Never banking here again and I look forward to the day I finish my loan.

Iris4For the love of god, put your hours on the front page of your website. This is absurd.

Solange Dotro1We have been operating with this branch for 5 years both personally and for our company. The customer service team is nice but the service offered by the bank in terms of investments or credits is terrible! I do not recommend it!
