      Just tried to open an account and was told you have to have an appointment even though there were.no notifications posted.

      Hi David, I apologize for the frustration. While appointments aren't required to open an account, it's recommended to help make sure a Team Member is available. Unfortunately, our Team Members who can open an account weren't available during your visit. I'm sorry for the inconvenience.       If I could give Centra as a whole a rating it wouldn't even be a one star. I was set up with Centra as a first time customer via a car loan. When I set up my online account as well as direct deposit for my car payment, the process was a bit annoying and had to deposit $5 into a savings account they created for me to make all this possible. It was rather odd, but whatever. The real issues occurred when I traded in my vehicle. Let me say this, it was a complete and utter nightmare from start to finish, and lasted over 2 months! I work in the car business, have had multiple car loans personally, and have NEVER experienced anything even close to this. I KNOW how things are to be done and I know the processes. It is part of my profession. Let's start from the first call. They were closed for a holiday the day I traded in my car. I understand I could not call directly to get a 10/15 day payoff amount which differs from the amount posted online as your payoff. I used the online payoff amount for the time being as I had no other choice. I called the very next day to report the car was traded in, as you are supposed to do. They told me I needed to wait until the payoff was posted to my account to go further, which I understand. I asked how can I expedite this as my payment was supposed to be withdrawn in two weeks and I know it takes awhile for paperwork to be sent to them from the dealership. They asked me to get papers of proof of trade and call them back. I did that. They acted as if I was almost lying about trading in the car and trying to place blame for things on the dealership. Which by the way is my employer. I told them I do NOT own the car and automatic payments need to be stopped. They then told me the payments were set up via my bank, and not them, which is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. My bank offered to call Centra personally to tell them they have nothing to do with the payments, just where the money comes out of, and to tell Centra to stop payments. Centra told me until the vehicle is paid off they cannot stop payments. I asked to speak to a manager. He assured me the payments would be stopped and I thought maybe I finally would be helped correctly. Wrong! My payment was withdrawn over a week later. I called yet again and was told again the car wasn't paid off, and even once it was it would take up to 2 weeks for the money to go back into my account. I said that is unacceptable. I was then directed to a third party company that apparently the money goes through first, again odd. Centra again placing blame on someone else. The company told me that they have zero clue why Centra was being difficult and apologized. Finally getting somewhere! I was told she would deposit my money back, and it would only take 24 hours. I then get a letter from Centra via mail that I had a late payment and was being charged a fee. So had to call yet again, I told them for maybe the SIXTH time, I do NOT own the car.! At this point, I am already into payments on my new car. I also told them at that time my mail had been redirected because they had my old address (which was over a year ago). I gave them the correct info.

      When I first got my car, I was set up with Centra for my loan. At first the payment process was easy enough, but come their last update to their site, my account number is no longer valid. I used to make payments with my debit card but no luck as of now. It's an utter nightmare trying to figure out the system that they try to make "user friendly." If I could give 0 stars, I would.

      The manager, I think her name is Judith, is really rude. The clerks are trying to be nice and do their best but Judith's angry omnipotence makes it an unpleasant experience. I guess I'll drive way out of my way to go to the Carmel location.

      I understand that companies have upgrades and system issues but this weekend has been the longest weekend more like four days of cant do absolutely nothing. Called in today to speak to a rep and she like she not sure she sent me to another department had to hold over 9 mines. I have been with this bank for over 18 years and never been so frustrated... I really dont care for other banks but this is not the first time we couldnt use the app or the website within five months and I cant do this again looks like I'll be looking for me a second bank.

      The lines are extremely long because they are understaffed and they turn away customers because they are too busy to help them. Management is also very unprofessional. Don't get an account here.
