  My experience with Carlyle Capital was great overall, I have no complaints. Jose was great, he is a pleasure to work with. I was able to complete a cash out a refi and the purchase of a second property via a 1031 exchange all within a couple weeks of each other. Fast and efficient. Jose was easy to talk to and answered all my questions.

  Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!. Don't make the same mistake I did. I only engaged with this company because I thought they were affiliated with Carlyle Group which is publicly listed. I was lured into a Cash Out refi transaction with a misleading estimate of $7,500 closing cost. Before even accepting my application they requested a due diligence fee of $1500. This was a screaming red flag but I ignored it and moved forward. After this the loan officer, disclosed that the loan had to be a commercial loan. Unbeknownst to me commercial loans do not have the same protections as consumer loans. After I agreed to continue my application as an LLC, all the undisclosed fees started unravelling. In response, I requested for a Good Faith Estimate so that I can decide on whether I wanted to proceed. The loan officer balked at this request saying the underwriter will provide the final schedule of fees. On the closing day, I was sent the HUD statement and the total closing cost was over $17,000. I decided not to close due to the large delta between the initial estimate and final closing cost. The lender proceeded to make a demand for their origination fee, which I signed up to pay in a loan commitment letter under duress in lieu of all the money and time I had already invested. I hope this post helps someone from falling for this type of bait and switch practice.

  In the process of refinancing a rental property and financing another rental real estate transaction. Set to close in 3 . So far the financing team has responded promptly to all inquiries and emails and have made the underwriting process easy. Some issues with finding an appraiser in our rather remote area, with higher than anticipated costs for the appraisal.

  I have 20 years experience in the commercial lending industry and I work with a lot of lenders but Carlyle Capital is always my first choice The entire process was very good from speaking to sweet Angela on the phone, to Jose through the deal, and Chira in processing. Jose is a great guy and worked very hard to get my deal funded. He speaks Spanish as well and is always very accommodating to my Spanish speaking clients. Chira worked patiently and diligently to get the deal processed. My client was very pleased.
