Capital One Bank Reviews

Joe Dipretore1I opened a capital one 360 checking account about 2 weeks ago online. my card has been shipped for over a week and still has not arrived so I contacted this branch to see if they could make me a card or give me a temporary card I could use in the meantime and was flat out told No they dont do that. Then I decide to try the Mobile deposit and after I do it tells me they are going to put a hold on the check for a minimum of 4 days so I contact them to cancel the deposit and they also refused to do that so I took the check to my bank that is also the issuing bank and cashed it on the spot. Now I have to wait for the check to bounce for them to allow me to close the account since there is a pending deposit they will not cancel. I will never do business with this bank again and if anyone is looking for a great bank that actually provides good customer service and takes care of their customers check out Local credit unions. They have been handeling my personal and business accounts for years with no issues im not sure why I even attempted to open this account with these clowns

Ariel Kennedy1Do not visit this branch. Or quite frankly, any Capital one branch. The tellers are blatantly rude and the opposite of helpful or friendly. After what I experienced today I am strongly considering switching banks altogether. I don’t usually write reviews but I am tired of the lack of customer I have received while being a member of this bank.
Response from the ownerHey Ariel - Thanks for looping us in here. This definitely isn't the sentiment or experience we strive for, so appreciate you sharing your experience. We'll be sure to doc this review as feedback for our branch leadership's eyes. ^AJS

Jon Thomas1Branch manager, Nina Desouza, lacked the competence to open a simple IOLTA account unitized by every attorney in the State of Texas. Had to have an another branch call and inform her how to do such a simple task. She then became indignant, stating she was refusing to follow the law, a copy of which I provided to her in writing. Is Capital One against equal access to justice for the impoverished?

Joerg Wittke1Worst Banking Experience ever! Employees that do not care, dispute was billed again by another company and they charged it to my card with no evidence whatsoever! What buyer protection? They are part of the fraud people commit! Then they say that I need to find a letter (paper) to find out more about my case! But they reward customers for signing up for paperless statements!. Go figure! Better do business with any other Bank.
Response from the ownerHey Joerg - Definitely not the impression we want you to have. Fraud prevention is a top priority and we want to get this taken care of ASAP. Give us a buzz via online chat or phone call so we can get the ball rolling on a dispute. ^AJS

William Howard1Very shady bank with rude ,inattentive, slow and incompetent workers. Had a very unpleasant experience with Nina who is just about the rudest banker I've met in any bank , needs to watch her tone and lousy attitude and get off her high horse and treat the customer well rather than being condescending and fake. The clerks at the counter were completely unhelpful as well and couldn't answer the simplest questions - no wonder there was a crazy line , seemed like everyone had trouble here . Also, be very careful in the parking lots and possibly even in the bank as well , the place reeks of sketchiness , seems like a place you're very likely to be a victim of a mugging.
Response from the ownerNot at all the experience we want our customers to have, William - we'll pass this along to our leadership team for review. If you still need a hand, feel free to Chat with us online from 8AM-11PM ET, all 7 days (just login on a desktop or laptop to access). We'll also document this review to ensure your voice is heard. Thanks for tapping us in here. ^JG

Crystal Megdad1Worse bank ever. I was thinking of opening an account here. But after trying to cash a check and requiring things that I've never been asked for before. I now understand why they are closing branches

Denis Crenwelge1We moved to League City, TX from 40+ years in Louisiana. Picked Capital One as our new bank because it was a couple of blocks from our house. Well, that location is now permanently closed and is for sale. The next closest location is in Webster. Went there yesterday. It was temporarily closed. The next closest is in Almeda. Went there after going to Webster. The inside was closed. Had to use one of the two drive through lanes(took 30 minutes). All to get some cash to put in the grandkids Valentine's Day cards. Capital One could care less about their customers. Only about their bottom line. Time to find a new bank that cares.
Response from the ownerClosing a branch is never an easy decision, and we understand the impact it has on our customers. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback here, so we've doc'd this message to get it in front of the right eyes. Rest assured, your voice is heard. ^VS

irving salinas1Was attended by “Nina”. She never made eye contact. Had a attitude in her voice, when I asked if I’ll be getting 2 cards in the mail she rolled her eyes and said “if you contact customer support of course they’ll send you 2 cards in the mail”. I’ve been a long time customer for capitalone, skip the trouble and go to another branch. Nina if you’re having a bad day don’t pass it on to customers.
Response from the ownerHey Irving - Top notch customer service is a top priority here and it looks like we missed the mark. We'll be sure to get this feedback over to the right teams so your experience is heard. ^AJS

Tony West5The teller greeted me and was so helpful in fulfilling my request. I believe her name was Larissa. I enjoy going to this branch.
Response from the ownerIsn't that Larissa just a gem? We'll be sure to pass along the kudos her way. ^JM
