I have been with Capital One for just over a year, about 16 months. I just started a new job and received my first paycheck today. There are no branches here, so I completed a mobile deposit on my phone. At first it said the money would be available by June 6, 2022. I checked later and it said it would be available today, and the later my total bank balance reflected the check, but the available balance did not, AND we were back to the money being available by 6/6/2022. I called Capital One, spoke with a manager, and he said that the soonest I could have access to my money would be tomorrow, after 6:13pm, and that was only if it was approved. This was a computerized corporate check, drawn on a recognized American bank. I believe the funds were in my account within an hour after they were deposited. Capital One is just holding onto the money for as long as they can. Well, I work because I need a paycheck, not to help inflate their numbers. As much as I dread it, I guess I'll be changing banks. This is probably the worst customer service ever.

I just recently went in with my ex husband to cash a check that had both our names. I went in with just one form id. The representative that attended us was African American and informed us we needed two forms of id. I unfortunately didn’t have it so I was annoyed at my ex bc he didn’t let me know since he got there first. I left to get my second form of id at home. Luckily I don’t live far. When I came back with all ids required. The African American representative attended us again and not once did she acknowledge me. She asked my ex all the questions. She only made eye contact with him. She even asked him if our son can have a lollipop. Never did I feel so diminished by someone especially a woman. It’s the last thing I needed to feel during my divorce which I’m going thru with my ex. I felt so horrible I walked out and let him finish the transaction. I’m so glad I don’t bank with capital one especially at this location. I work in customer service. I never treat my customers in such a matter. If I was rude in some way it wasn’t towards the representative it was towards my ex. Never make assumptions you never know what the customer is going thru. Shame on that capital one representative.

Came to withdraw money for an important transaction, and they didn’t have enough money to give (limit $3,000, when I need $7,000)….What’s the purpose of having money in a bank if you can’t get it out? I then proceeded to get a cashier’s check, but the teller misspelled the name of the receiver which caused me to go to the bank… also the teller had an attitude pretty much the whole time. Been a Capital One customer for 13 years. This makes me want to remove all my money from Capital One and go to a different institution. Don’t bank with Capital One, heed this warning.

I went back to the bank because I have no idea what was stolen from my capital one tax returns and account and the money has been debited from my bank account but not credited. I have a CD that they only paid 50 cents on for three months and I have to go back in today It looks like they are trying to make sure I lose my business and I will never get the money they really owe to me. The representative of the bank called this morning and told me they only had part of my money and I could get the rest later. It appears that my withdrawal may put Capital One in Bankruptcy and they could become insolvent and have Federal Bank exampiners in there for a long time it they can repay their debt to me with the real amount owed to me and not some made up version. I am at the point where I really will not accept any less than somewhere in the billions for the damages and lies they keep coming up with. Spaming my phone and internet is involved as well.

      Response from the owner

Hey Robert - We'd like to try to make this right if we can. Give us a buzz via online chat or phone call so we can do a deep dive here. ^AJS

They make an appointment with the client to open the accounts and only receive the documents because they do not have staff to serve the clients, they waste time and tell you that you have to come after that is how they are working. and that you have to make another appointment for a representative to attend you
