The ATM just took money from me when I was depositing. Now there is no 24/7 customer service to call. It should be in there and they can find it in the morning, but this is scary. I'm going to leave this review here and if I receive prompt help in finding and returning my money, I will change it to a better review. I'll be updating it after I speak to them. **** Update - they took care of the problem with no fuss, the $ was updated in my account as soon as I spoke to someone at the soonest opportunity. Thanks Capital One, I have changed the review to a 4 star from a 1 star. Minus one star just for having it happen in the first place.****

This is a HORRIBLE BRANCH!!!! I’ve tried for months to open a small business account with Kristen Grzelka. And she took photo copies of my documents in the branch. Never, followed up with me. I’ve emailed her and she never return my calls, emails, NOTHING! Fast forward to 1/5/22 I finally speak to her. And she tried to lie to me about ever speaking with me and taking my photo copy of my personal documents. The staffs are rude and abrupt when speaking with them. And will never answer a direct question. Just nasty!!! Run, run, RUN!!!! I will be making a complaint to corporate.

The teller stole my money and now they have to do an internal investigation. The bank teller deposited my money to my Walmart card and never told me I couldn't pay the balance through the branch. She took the money and now the money is missing. I called Capital One customer service and they told me the branch has to make an investigation since they have the cameras and can account for any excess money. Now this branch is saying they can't do an investigation. Of course. If this was capital one looking for money they would sue you for the money. So now I have to go through small claims court.

I give no stars because it's the worst bank. The customer service is the worst. All they do is direct you to the 1800 number in the back of your card. If you need a bank that doesn't take responsibility for your money. Open an account here! The staff makes you wait and act like if their doing you a favor.

5 stars down to 1 star - because they closed my account, only after telling me I'm able to send funds to the account - which was actually permanently closed therefore those send funds will take me over a week to redeem smh

I keep the balance more than $200K and Capital One still placed a deposit holds for 5 days for $1000 checks. During pandemic, other banks waived the CD early withdrawal penalty but Capital One Bank did not show any effort to help. Once my CD mature, I am definitely closing entire relationship with this bank.

I'm writing this on behalf of a friend of mine who was recently at the Capital One branch in Fort Lee, New Jersey. Basically, I was returning a bunch of unused bank cashier's check and some cash with Teller Monica Ramjohn to be redeposited into my checking account. Not only did she demand that I orally give my full Social Security number and confirm my ID and bank card (with pin number), she also deposited the checks and cash not into the bank account that I had written down on the deposit slip. Afterwards, I went back to tell her (within a minute) that she had made this mistake and she then recounted the cash that I had already given to her! She really seems to have a unpleasant personality and I believe that she did this on purpose to delay me. On another previous visit to this bank location, I had several bank cashier's checks made out with Teller Monica Ramjohn and she told me that I might need to pay a fee for these cashier's checks. I told her for my account that there is no charge for making our cashier's checks. She then made me talk to the bank manager via phone to confirm that there would be no charges for these cashier's checks. I have had various accounts at Capital One Bank for more than ten years and have never encountered this problem before at any other branch location. I definitely feel that this Teller Monica Ramjohn definitely is not customer friendly and does not know how to do her job properly. I have complained to the branch manager several times and she constantly gives me a hassle and wastes my time with this issue. ** My other experiences with the other bank staff members has been fine, but this Teller Monica Ramjohn makes me not recommend this particular branch. **

      Response from the owner

This definitely wasn't the experience we wanted your friend to have—we appreciate you taking the time to leave us your thoughts on your friend's behalf & we'll be sure to get this post in front of the right eyes as feedback. ^NW

Location is close to all major highways and there’s free 90min parking in the Hudson Lights parking deck. Tellers are very friendly and I never been there longer than 5min to make a deposit. 24 Hour access to two full service ATMs and next door to a CVS if you need cash back if any ATM is down. Only downside is no drive-thru but there’s plenty of free parking.

Worst bank to deal with. Have multiple accounts with them and they still treat you like trash. Wanted to do a business transaction and was referred to the mall. Stay away from this branch.
