I have had good customer service when I've interacted with them. One teller even have me a helpful hint to save money. Free ATM withdrawal is particularly nice, they refund any fees you are charged from using an ATM anywhere in the world. The 3 star review is due to their complete disregard of a reported incidence of fraudulent charges by a major corporation. I reported to the bank the fraudulent monthly charges, could only go back 3 months for a refund, and was told it would be investigated. Months later, still no word or refund. They also charge their account holders unnecessary fees where they can, such as getting a cashier's check.

      Response from the owner

Hi, Laura! We are sorry to hear about this and want to thank you for letting us know. We strive to provide exceptional member service and apologize for falling short in this case. Our VP of Retail Operations Dustin Bitz would be happy to speak with you if you’d like. You can reach him at 701.355.7702. We appreciate the chance to make this right. Thank you!

I've had CCU for almost 10 years now. They've been great. A great change from Wells Fargo. Their local service bankers treat you right. I recently needed some clarification on some charges for accounting purposes. Ashley on the phone was patient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Whitney has also been a blessing. Keep up the good work.

Terrible Credit Union in regards to professionalism and safety of your funds. We have personal and corporate accounts with Capcu and the business department blames our staff for their tellers mistakes and tells us that non authorized users were able to take out money from our accounts! Which would be theft by the teller and bank if this is true (have the emails to back this up). It took over a year before their online banking started working after redoing the site. Check images were not made available, their Business President whom quit and came back a year later, Brad Shetler told us to go somewhere else and bank instead of fixing their mistakes. Ryan in business accounts refuses to reply to emails multiple times when asked to fix their mistakes showing cash was removed when it wasn't, from our business account. I've had customers use them for car buying privatley and it took weeks due to hoops they wanted him to go through. Just save your time and energy. We'd change banks but it takes so much to switch a corporation from one institution to another, they know this at CU so they just screw you over more because they don't care about service. Terrible Credit Union. Worst ever dealt with.

DO NOT get your mortgage through this bank. When we bought our first home we dealt with Scott Bullinger. There were a number of last minute issues and our closing was pushed back multiple times. I would have given him the benefit of the doubt, but now we're selling the same home. The buyers are going through CAPCU and dealing with Scott Bullinger. Wonder of wonders there's been nothing but last minute problems--the first time Scott was out of the office and couldn't be contacted (fine, everyone deserves a vacation) but didn't have any information on who could be contacted or anyone covering for him. Our house closing was then pushed back an additional two weeks. During this time period he has worked at a snails pace in getting the necessary paperwork filed. Our buyers' lease is up soon and we've had to pay another house payment for a house we've moved out of on top of paying for our new home. Between the first time we had to deal with him and now he's literally cost of thousands of dollars. Multiple people's lives are on hold and there's no sense of urgency on his part to get this taken care of. I will ever recommend this bank or this person to handle anyone's home or finances. The customer service (and I use that term loosely) is appalling. I get it, it's not his home, not his money, not his time, so what does he care. Seven years and he hasn't improved on his job. Let's hope he finds another job where time and deadlines aren't important.

This is the worst credit union and the worst bank I have ever had the unpleasantness of dealing with. However Kayla is amazing and really went out of her way to assist me. I appreciate her and I think capital credit union would benefit following her lead instead of whatever training you currently have in place. And if your tellers are going to suck and have absolutely no customer service skills because they have to work on the weekend.. maybe you should revisit that as well because it had a huge overwhelming effect on my life. Which you don’t care about because you are not customer minded.

I switched to CapCU from Wells Fargo and have never felt better about my banking situation. They take care of their members and have plenty of branches to make it simple to get in. I have my auto loan, business checking/savings, and personal checking/savings through capcu and I highly recommend them.

Scott Bullinger is the best mortgage loan officer around! He goes above and beyond for his members, and truly cares about what is best for them. My fiance and I will be clients for life! Thanks, Scott!

Do not get a loan with this company!!! We bought a truck and got a loan in 2012. We paid the truck off in full over a month ago and still haven’t received a title and they are refusing to sent it to us because of some bogus charges they say we have with the account. The day I wrote the check out I called to confirm the amount but I guess the told me the wrong amount and it is just an excuse after excuse. I will never deal with them again. If I could rate them -20 I would. I dealt with don and John both
