      I have now been with Canvas previously Public Service C.U.before the name change going on 8 years it has been good up untill now . I went to my account this morning to Pay for my car like I always do and almost made my car payment till I noticed my account was missing 380.00 well low and behold they transfered the money automatically without my knowledge. I telephoned Canvas and the employee told me that automatic payment was set up at the time at Canvas when bought my car. 1st off I bought the Car at the Dealer , Second off I would have remember signing at Document STATING that I was going on automatic payment. So i pulled up my old contract and Paperwork no such Document and I called the dealer and talked to the finance manager and we both agreed after looking at there paperwork that the finance manager would have had me sign a disclosure that i would be on auto pay. 2 Things bothered me here The Canvas employee started to get arrogant claiming i was wrong offered no solution except to remove auto pay (which Really Does'nt botherr me other than I cant understand if I was on auto pay why did'nt it come out all the time I have allways payed 2-5 days before the due date and never have they taken it out automatically) There has been alot of shady things going on since the rename, merger, acuisition whatever they want to call it. customer service is suffering terribly and i bet that employee will not even mention to a manager theres a problem nor will not even get a call back maybe its time to close out all accounts and move money elswhere where the institution will be a little more upfront and transparent

      Ive never missed a payment in 2 years but I am having some trouble with being laid off work due to COVID19. I saw on the website that you can take a 2 month break from your payment. I called and a polite, nice representative told me she would send me paperwork to fill out. Upon closer inspection it was a forbearance, not a deferment. A $15 fee per month for not paying would be assessed, interest would still be charged, and the missed payment would be added to the life of the loan. Public Service Credit Union isnt helping out during COVID19, they're taking advantage of people who cannot afford their payment by offering to still pay it later but after charging interest and a fee. Horrible business

      Terrible customer service. I've needed to call customer service several times for various reasons. JoAnne is always the person that answers the phone and it appears she has no authority and/or experience. She is never able to answer questions or resolves issues. After asking for a supervisor, Christy gets on the phone and immediately starts lecturing me (the customer) about their disclosures. I don't need to be lectured, I need assistance resolving my issue. Upon asking for another supervisor, I'm put on hold for 33 minutes, and then told that Fernando will call me back. Upon asking if Fernando is the only other supervisor in the building, I'm told that Kari is the director but she isn't able to provide assistance because she isn't at her desk. My issue was regarding mobile deposit. I deposited a check that was "above their limit" to release funds within the normal 48 hours. Supposedly larger checks have a 5 day waiting period before funds are released ... OK great if that's the policy but why aren't the funds being released on this deposit for more than 10 days? I will be closing my accounts with Canvas because I don't think it's unreasonable to expect at least some customer service. I did use the Canvas website "contact us" to express my concerns, where it states that someone will be in contact with 24 hours. It's now been 48 hours and nothing. Come on Canvas ... seriously (?), a complaint about customer service receives additional bad customer service.

      I had a truck loan and house loan here. Customer service is terrible. The executive of the loss mitigation department is unprofessional and unpersonable like a robot. I was expecting so much more for all the buisnes I gave. Shop around and really consider other credit unions . Trust me There's lot of good ones.... this one definitely isn't. When you apply for a loan there almost indefinitely will be an approval from this credit union, there's a reason. If you have any other choice besides Canvas Credit Union formerly known as a Public Service Credit Union pick the other option because if you dont you'll end up going through the exact same issues as everyone else. Please read all the other reviews. there alot similar and notice how no body from the credit union ever responds or addresses the reviews, they dont even have time or care to praise the good reviews. it's because the people that manage this credit union are a reflection of the neglect and poor customer service you receive doing buisnes here. It starts at the top. The customer service staff are just there to collect a paycheck and wont go above and beyond to resolve issues on there own beyond there rigid policys and procedures. I was expecting more in the executive level of management but they wont even madke themselves accessible to buisnes clients. Now I know why. Try and call and ask to speak to there CEO he screens his calls.... I've never heard of that before especially from a low level local credit union

      EXCEPTION customer service. The PERSONALITIES of their employees are what intrigued me. They engaged with me on a personal level. I left my bank of 27yrs and will stay with Canvas Credit Union.

      Worst banking experience ever. When I call in I get transferred to a totally different department then I select on the IVR. I was helped without even being verified for security. No notification that the mobile app will change. I can’t even use my mobile banking and forced to call in. The wait time ridiculous to speak with someone. I requested for a supervisor to call me back over to weeks ago I’m still waiting. I’d rather bank with an actual bank then this credit union.

      This is a horrible institution! I never had so many problems with my accounts before you changed to Canvas. Why do you make it so hard to pay my balance?? I'm never told my interest charges, how much I owe per month, or when it is due. And now your automated system doesn't understand the word "yes"??? Figure this out and stop bothering me until you do!!!

      The refuse to believe that the repair was done (that insurance payed for) on a vehicle they financed. I have provided multiple receipts, my CC statement and they spoke with the repair guy and the adjuster. Nor will they look at the vehicle to see it is cosmetically perfect. They will not release the insurance money to credit the principle or release it to me.
