Canvas Credit Union Evans Drive-thru Reviews

Jonathan Newman5I've been banking with this credit union for over 10 years. My banking has all been minor, no loans, no mortgage, etc. But in my experience over a decade, I've had no problems. They've offered to waive overdraft fees in the past, although I have rarely ever overdrafted my account with them. Recently, when my landlord accidentally took rent out of my account twice, the CU did not penalize me for it. The manager gave me his card and told me that if any fees hit my account as a result of this error, to call him and he'd remove them no questions. Its also very handy that they are part of the service center network. I moved to Las Vegas from 2013-2016 and kept my account with them even though they didn't have a branch in Vegas. I just did all my banking through another network CU the whole time I lived there.

Richard Côté5We had a wonderful experience with this branch. The staff was very helpful when we opened the account and has been able to assist us with any other need that has come up. Despite all of the negative reviews about deposits at this location, you can make deposits at this location. I have been able to make several. The only issue we have had was when we deposited our first check. There was a holding period to make sure the check cleared (this is standard practice at any banking institution). My wife and I are very pleased with the service all around.

Nicole Spinato1What can I say about this branch...don't use it. Better yet don't use this credit union! Got a car loan through them and nothing but problems... Try to call them I dare you. You will never get through. I have called for two weeks straight and I hit the new record for hold time without even talking to someone which is over an HR! Then I went to them to get my first home loan..needless to say they lied, a lot! I went through someone else and closed three week ago. I paid off my car loan about 6 weeks ago and have yet to see my title. And funny I can't get a hold of anyone to get it. Just bad all across the board. Worst customer service I have ever dealt with by far!

B Southerly1If your trying to get a loan from these guys forget it. The paperwork is long nobody gets back to you . They approve your loan then an hour before you close they change their mind. After ive been with them for 10 years paid off countless accounts. Really?! What a waste of time and I sold my boat since I was approved for another one. Poor business service. No wonder they are changing the name because it's not a public they serve here. My money will be going elsewhere! I would like to add lending tree gave me a loan better interest rate too

Max Maskevich (Maximus)2This location is very close to where I work/live so its the most convenient. However, I will not be returning because in addition to their repeated sloooowww service (20mins to deposit a check????Really?) I had a terrible experience this afternoon. Upon attempting to deposit three checks I was informed by the teller that they were unable to accept two of them because of a "new policy". I asked the young woman to explain what the new policy was. She was very short and very rude to me. In short, they didn't deposit my checks based on some policy that "they have always had" so I don't know how to explain them accepting my money for the last year and a half under the same circumstances!!! Because of their repeated slow service and lack of customer care and now their "new policies" I will not be returning. Conversely, I went to Westerra Credit Union on Alameda and was actually acknowledged with a friendly professional greeting when I pulled up and was taken care of in under 10 mins. I will be going there from now on.

Jen Ledrow1Total joke. Had a car loan through them, no problem and Luke Amy back always eager to get their money. Finally paid the car off in October it's now almost Christmas and still no title. When I called they said it must have been lost in the mail. Still waiting for a phone call to set up something to obtain the title THEY lost. I call but I always seem to be hung up on waiting for my transfered call to be answered. Not some place you want to go for a loan. Place is a joke and cares nothing about the costumers only the money.

Gilbert Verhoeff1Since the old days of great grandparents keeping track of check purchases through the ancient out dated check register is long gone , human progress brings in the digital age of superb technology , checks are no longer written and 99 percent of transactions are done through debit cards which the finance industry pushed to replace green backs long ago yet here is banks telling consumers to " Remember " every transaction , we could debate the truth which is banks monopolize on the human brain hippocampus incapable of Remembering everything all the while every transaction is recorded in the digital universe and banks are not held to responsibly providing this digital information in a timely fashion making an allowance of consumer human brain hippocampus error and then profiting billions of dollars . It is my opinion and I'm positive everyone would agree that this comes to an end and banks held accountable for using the technology of today's world and future technologies to prevent to the fullest capabilities the mass negligence of profiting from not using the technology these banks not only possess but actually own in some cases just to play ignorance and scam billions from their consumers , this is not 1932 with mass check fraudulence like in the movie catch me if you can , we are in the future now time to move forward as human progress is always a forward progress , holding back prevents human progress and the banking industry is very very slow purposefully to fatten the quick high risk CEOs portfolio's . I'm sure I will get backlashes from this review however it is of honorably honesty that it always assured from my opinions and it can be counted on ..

R P1THIS CU IS PREDATORY! The red flag should've been the ATM fee for using a CO-OP ATM. Really guys? And then I just got a $33 "courtesy fee" for a $3 overdraft on my first occurrence. Their fee disclosure says first occurrence is only $20. I called to see what was up and they said it's $33 regardless and it never said anything about $20, which was a lie. I'm closing my account with them and going to a real Credit Union. It's no wonder they had to change their name.

Margaret Swafford1This is the worse bank ever had problems with them sending back my car payment several times. They say they can't find my account so annoying. Then they try to charge penalties on me.
M
Masayo Quick1They won't accept deposits at this location. They take forever to tell you they cannot take deposits and give you your ID back. Just about left without it. Don't even try to go here.
