  If I could give a 0 star, I would. This has been by far the worst experience ever with a bank. I would go into detail about what happened but I’m waiting on a call back from the supervisor of the person who was “helping” me. Once they get back to me I will gladly post all the screen shots of the emails and explain in detail why this place not only wasted my time but also did me wrong.

  Canopy credit Union is probably the worst credit union in Spokane I can can get approved for a $10,000 car and I can get approved at any other loan places but I cannot get a $2500 loan through that place after I think with them for three years. I wouldn’t recommend banking with this credit union.

There are many factors that are taken into consideration when someone submits an application with us, and we always strive to make a decision that's in the best interest of our members while meeting the qualifications of our underwriters. That being said, any loan application we have to turn down isn't really a "no" - it's a "not yet." We're always happy to set up a plan to help our members achieve their goals, including free financial coaching, plan creation, and more.   I was initially referred here to get financing on an auto loan. I worked with Isaac and the process was so easy, interest rate was awesome!!! Recently I decided to look at getting rid of some high interest credit cards that I was just spinning my wheels trying to pay off, and I worked with Kara to get a small loan to pay off and close this cards, and they gave me a much better credit card with better rate for emergencies. After this great experience I decided to bring my daughter in to open her 1st bank account. Kara again helped us with this and was amazing, she went above and beyond going through credit scores, interest rates, even taxes on her paychecks etc to be sure she started off her financial life as informed as possible, setting her up for success. I was so impressed with all of the above that I just finished switching all my personal banking over to Canopy. I might also add that aside from opening my daughter's new account in person, ALL OF THIS was easily done through email and only took 1 day, even with my fair credit score. I highly recommend Canopy Credit Union for anybody looking for an institution who truly WANTS to help its clients succeed! Thank you Canopy, and thank you Kara and Isaac!

  Canopy Credit Union has always been great with my banking needs and loans. My family and I have been members for a long time. I recently worked with Sara C. for an auto loan and she made the process very easy and answered all my questions. Will definitely recommend Canopy Credit Union in the future.

  Me and my friend have an outstanding experience. We applied a car loan, and we had the best Customer service, amazing results, great interest rate and very friendly. Kara is very nice, she helped us to get our dream car. We never been so happy buying a car. Recommend to everyone to do business with canopy.

  I want to let you know how much of a pleasure it has been to deal with Canopy Credit Union, especially Isaac and Mallory. Both have been very attentive to the details and listened to our needs. Originally, we had planned to open just a savings and checking account for our emergency fund, gas and groceries. We pay our bills out of an account I have had since 1996 in Montana and choose to keep the bills separate from our living costs. After the customer experience we have had we decided to go ahead and try to get a debt consolidation loan. We applied the day after Isaac helped us with our checking and savings, then very professionally helped us when there was an issue with our new debit cards. I especially like the responsiveness of both Isaac and Mallory. They are eager to help and they assist with a smile and excitement for what they do. This is a very rare feature now days. We applied for the loan last week, but hadn’t heard back, so I called today and was told Isaac is out of the office for vacation. I really hope he enjoys himself because he deserves it. Even though the loan wasn’t assigned to Mallory, she picked it right up and immediately began processing it. I was so happy with the service she provided we are now looking into doing everything under one roof, including our vehicles and home. In over 40 years of personal and business finance management I have never experienced such outstanding customer service! I have already referred two of my employees to Canopy CU not only because of the professionalism Mallory showed today, but the positive attitude, efficiency and performance. She truly deserves all the praise I can give. The services Canopy offers are far beyond what other banks and credit unions offer. We look forward to a long and happy financial relationship.

  Matt Utesch at Spokane Valley Canopy Credit Union made the auto loan process seamless. I was much more impressed with Canopy Credit Union than several other local credit unions that I had previously used for auto loans. He was not only very knowledgeable, but personable and professional. I will definitely use Canopy Credit Union again.

  Honestly the most HASSLE FREE auto loan EVER! Issac U. made our experience from start to finish easy!!! Everything was done online, fast with SUPER communication from Issac. We highly recommend Canopy Credit Union, we plan on being members for more than just our auto loan from today forward!

  I like some of these guys, Matt has been a great help. But their online banking is simply horrible, unintuitive and just bad in general, BAD design, If you want to pay your bill you don't hit the "pay bill" tab, you hit the "move money" tab.. What?... Fees for EVERYTHING, pay over the phone? $10, pay online? $5. Apparently the only way to not get charged obscene processing fees (somehow the prices keep going up for this service that has been around for so long) is to send in a check or bring in cash like it's the 90's again. They've been great as far as loans go and as I said the people are fine and work hard and even realize how bad their website is but what can they do? Hopefully someone takes these things seriously and works to fix them but knowing how companies have been acting lately I highly doubt it.

We upgraded those early this year and while they have a much higher level of functionality, we continue to learn how to best use them to serve our members. We have several free options to pay your Canopy loans, but it sounds like we may have missed the mark in communicating how to utilize those.
